Grand Village About

For many residents across Michigan, the dream of homeownership or simply finding an affordable, comfortable, and independent living space can often feel out of reach in a competitive housing market. Manufactured home communities, or mobile home parks as they are commonly known, have emerged as a significant and viable solution for those seeking cost-effective housing without sacrificing personal space or privacy. In Grand Rapids, a bustling hub in West Michigan, Grand Village offers just such an option, providing a unique residential experience for individuals and families alike.

Grand Village aims to provide a distinct alternative to traditional apartment living or single-family homes, focusing on the advantages that manufactured home communities can offer. These advantages often include a greater sense of privacy, more living space both indoors and outdoors, and a community atmosphere that can be harder to find in other housing types. Modern manufactured home parks are designed to be well-maintained and to offer essential services, creating a settled environment. For Michiganders considering their housing options, Grand Village represents a pathway to homeownership or a stable rental situation within a community setting, potentially offering a more accessible financial entry point into comfortable living in the vibrant Grand Rapids area.

The ability to own a home while leasing the land often presents a more accessible entry point into homeownership compared to traditional housing, appealing to many who seek stability without the higher financial burdens of conventional real estate.

However, it's important for prospective residents to conduct thorough due diligence. While the community offers the structure of manufactured home living, some past customer reviews have raised concerns regarding staff attitudes, communication, and property maintenance, particularly concerning snow removal and general park improvements relative to rent increases. These are serious allegations that future residents should investigate. Visiting the park, speaking with current residents if possible, and carefully reviewing all terms and conditions of a lease agreement are highly recommended steps.

Ultimately, Grand Village offers a particular style of living that can be attractive to locals seeking a managed community environment with manufactured home benefits. Its suitability largely depends on individual priorities and a careful assessment of current community conditions, ensuring that the living experience aligns with expectations for comfort, responsiveness, and property maintenance.

Won’t lived in this community. The staff are very very rude. Yes the time your going to buy or rent They are the sweetest persons. But once your already there. You’ll find out the staff from Amy to other staff on the office are the rudest person you’ll ever meet you ask a favor to fix this or anything. They will ignore you like your talking to a wall too many things that I would like to share but no space. All I can say is don’t live there

Never move here. Everyone in the office is a joke, they pass the blame from one preson to the next so nobody takes responsibility and nothing, they will straight up harass you for everything they deem incorrect, they increase rent EVERY year with zero improvements made on the park itself, during the winter the roads are nothing but a permanent sheet of ice as they refuse to pay for proper snow removal despite the aforementioned periodical increase in rent. I'm VERY glad to have moved out

This is by far the worst place to live. The office is a complete joke. It's all lies and deception from any staff member. All you are is a lot number, not a person. They raise rent every year and you would think it's used for maintenance of the property, but nope. The snow removal is non-existent in the winter, the streets are littered with potholes, and the landscapers don't do jack. Every now and again I have received notices to mow my lawn, but surrounding neighbors haven't. But my law gets mowed and theirs don't. I have even been charged for the landscapers without receiving a notice, just to get extra money out of me. And when the landscapers do come to your lot, they do a piss poor job, either not blowing all the leaves, not mowing the whole yard or not trimming around the whole house. DO NOT MOVE HERE, you will REGRET IT.

I have lived here for 10 now, raised my kids here. It’s a trailer park! There is a lot of people who live here a lot of cars, a lot of kids, and a lot of dogs. It gets noisy from time to time. The rules are very strict but need to be or it would be chaos. Lot rent is also a little on the high side. But all and all an ok place to live.

As far as mobile home parks, it's not bad. They r strict with things but i think it helps keep the park looking nice. Office lady Carmella is pleasant & very professional. I would've given more stars except the park manager wants me to take my American flag out of the window :-O. ... We still live in America, right?
