Understanding both the positive attributes and any potential challenges is crucial for making an informed decision.

Brookshire Meadows West is conveniently located at 1501 Port Sheldon St, Jenison, MI 49428, USA. This address places it within Jenison, a well-regarded community in Ottawa County, Michigan, nestled between Grand Rapids and the Lake Michigan shoreline. Jenison is known for its strong school system, family-friendly atmosphere, and convenient access to the wider West Michigan region.
The park's location on Port Sheldon Street offers a practical balance of suburban tranquility and accessibility. Port Sheldon Street itself is a significant thoroughfare, providing direct routes to various parts of Jenison and neighboring communities like Hudsonville and Grandville. This means residents have relatively easy access to essential amenities such as grocery stores, shopping centers, dining establishments, and healthcare facilities. For daily errands and services, the convenience of the location is a notable advantage.
Furthermore, Jenison's position within West Michigan provides excellent connectivity to larger urban centers and recreational opportunities. Residents can easily commute to downtown Grand Rapids for work, entertainment, or cultural attractions. The beautiful Lake Michigan beaches, a major draw for many Michiganders, are also within a reasonable driving distance, offering opportunities for summer recreation and scenic drives.
Despite its proximity to active roadways and amenities, the community maintains a distinct identity. The natural features within the park, such as the two beautiful ponds, contribute to a sense of peacefulness once inside the community. This blend of accessibility to regional conveniences and the ability to feel "tucked away" within the park's own landscape can be a significant appeal for prospective residents.
Based on available public information, Brookshire Meadows West provides fundamental services to support its residents, common to many manufactured home communities. While detailed service lists are not extensively publicized, the nature of a mobile home park implies certain standard provisions.
It is important to note that while the park provides the setting, individual homes may require residents to manage certain aspects, such as the installation of air conditioning units, as highlighted in one review. Prospective residents should clarify what services are included in their lot rent and what responsibilities fall to the homeowner.
Brookshire Meadows West offers several distinct features and highlights that contribute to its appeal, particularly its natural beauty and the strong sense of community among residents.
It is also important to consider certain reported characteristics: while the park itself is noted as "nice," some reviews highlight that there are "no extras at all." This implies that amenities such as clubhouses, fitness centers, or playgrounds, which are common in some manufactured home communities, may not be present or are not prominent features. Furthermore, concerns about strict parking rules (e.g., "Can't even park on the street. If you do, you get nasty notes") suggest a highly regulated environment that potential residents should be aware of. Similarly, direct resident feedback points to concerns about annual rent increases and the overall behavior of the owners, which could significantly impact the living experience for some. These aspects are crucial for a complete understanding of the park's living environment.
Based on the provided customer reviews and typical characteristics of long-established mobile home parks, Brookshire Meadows West does not appear to widely advertise specific, time-limited "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional sense, such as discounts on rent or move-in incentives. Instead, its primary offering is the opportunity for affordable housing within a specific community setting in Jenison, Michigan.
The core "offer" at Brookshire Meadows West is the provision of residential lots for manufactured homes, allowing individuals to pursue homeownership at a potentially lower entry point compared to purchasing a traditional stick-built house in the area. The perceived value would largely stem from the location, the aesthetic appeal of the ponds, and the existing community of residents.
Prospective residents interested in living at Brookshire Meadows West should focus on inquiring about:
Given the specific feedback regarding ownership and a lack of "extras," it's reasonable to infer that the park's business model does not heavily rely on promotional incentives but rather on its established presence and basic offerings. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on current lot rates, available homes, and any specific terms, it is highly recommended to contact Brookshire Meadows West directly. Its appeal lies primarily in its fundamental offerings and specific community characteristics, despite some publicly shared concerns.

Love this place. It has 2 beautiful ponds and is great for my grandma to live in!! She just moved in a week ago and she loves it. House needed a little fixer upper. Didn't include a air conditioning unit. My family and I had to work on electric for it. Other then that, I really don't see anything wrong with it!! ;-)
Jun 06, 2016 · bryce frostI would give this place a minus, if I could. Nice place. That's it! We lived there 6 yrs. Horrible, mean just short of evil owners. The daughtes are wonderful. Marlene and Dave...not Christian. The people who live there, are awesome. The community is nice. Rent goes up every year. No extras at all. Can't even park on the street. If you do, you get nasty notes. We have stories about them, that's for sure. We even took this to face book. I wanted to take them to court. Husband wouldn't let me. Please. Do not consider living there. We are not the only ones. Talk to neighbors. You will regret it later.
Apr 26, 2018 · robin sommersI've lived here for 20 years. I can't believe what the owners are doing. The park is almost filled. I just got my mail and the uncrease in lot rent is unbelievable. Most of the residents are retired. Living on a limited income. I guess they want us to ALL move out. Right now I'm ready. This is ridiculous.
Mar 31, 2022 · Marlene SheaI am pleased to report Brookshire Meadows has removed the tree's from my mothers backyard. She can now enjoy the upcoming summer months. Much Appreciation! Very happy I've been trying to get my mothers trees trimmed since last July. I spoken to grounds maint. & office staff. No calls backs, no results. Now it's winter, pray that these huge pine trees don't fall on her roof....
Apr 21, 2021 · Heidi HasenfratzNice neighbors, but the owners don't accommodate needs of the residents. On street partking is now allowed. Only a few vistor parking spots at office and and none other on site.
