This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Hones Pointe Campground and Park, highlighting its unique appeal and helping local users plan their next memorable outdoor adventure.

Hones Pointe Campground and Park is more than just a place to pitch a tent or park an RV; it's a thoughtfully maintained property that reflects a deep pride in its natural surroundings. Established in 1988, it was designed as a unique natural setting for relaxation, and over the years, many varieties of trees and perennials have been planted, adding to its serene ambiance. Evidence suggests this area was even an Indian camp long ago, hinted at by arrowheads and an old handmade rock wall, adding a layer of historical intrigue to its natural charm.

While some campers highlight specific challenges, such as the presence of poison ivy in certain areas and uneven concrete surfaces at some sites, the overwhelming sentiment from visitors points to a clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained campground. The owner, Steve, consistently receives praise for his helpfulness and kindness, embodying the welcoming spirit that makes a camping trip truly enjoyable. Whether you're seeking a quiet retreat by the Little Kentucky River, a spot for family fun, or just a place to enjoy the stunning Kentucky landscape, Hones Pointe Campground and Park offers a unique and authentic experience.

It was a nice place overall, the RV sites are cute but we were tent camping. Overall it’s a cute little spot that you could tell a lot of effort went into, but for me it just wasn’t worth the money. Our campsite had soooo much poison ivy surrounding us, climbing up trees, all over the ground area where we would set up the front of the tent for exiting and entering. I am shocked I didn’t read anyone writing about this. It sucked bc we were worried the whole time and wore socks with sandals. The campsite had tons of trip hazards too! The cement was uneven getting to and from the fire pit to the little table they had set up, I tripped so many times and stubbed my toes. It just seemed almost unsafe, esp if you have kids! I think we stayed at Homes Point or Cave? or whatever we were told what was the most popular upon arriving, I wouldn’t recommend the most popular site. We left a day early it just wasn’t our vibe and we love to camp.

This RV/Tenting park is so beautiful! We moved in August 3 2024 and stayed until Mid-December. The RV spots are very spacious. They all have picnic tables and fire rings. I enjoyed my evening walks with my dogs through the beautiful campground. My favorite spot is down by the creek. Steve was so accommodating to anything that I needed and very quick to get it done. Always responded to my calls and text messages and phone calls. He delivered my mail and packages to my RV. He invited all of us campers to his home for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a great time with great food. I’ve stayed in a lot of RV spots. I’ve never had an owner act like a friend right from the start. I highly recommend!

HONES POINT !!!! HIPCAMP!! Well kept camping area. Boondocking and RV camping along with primitive camping. Porta potties on site. Firewood availabke on site foe a small fee. I think his step son makes money off the firewood. Very nice young man. Peace and solitude if you want it. RV sites are close to each other. Include water hook up, 50AMP, 30AMP, 20AMP services. No dump station available. Primitive campsites well maintained and they are in the woods. 2WD accessable. Pet friendly on a leash please.

I actually give this 10 out of 5 stars! This is the BEST campground I have ever been too! Steve is the best host. I love the campsites, they are so pretty, spacious, and private. I was sad to see that it wasn't full, I think its the best kept secret! Everyone needs to check this place out. I loved that there were great community spaces for kids, for adults, for hiking, and swimming! I love this place. I will be back multiple times in the future! We even got the most delicious gift for the camp owner (sweet tea vodka!).
