Location and Accessibility
Kemah RV Resort is situated at 675 Miles Rd, Bacliff, TX 77518, USA. This address places it within the community of Bacliff, a coastal town positioned on the western side of Galveston Bay. The park’s location offers a blend of local quietude with relatively easy access to larger, more bustling areas in Galveston County.
One of the key advantages of this location is its proximity to the Kemah Boardwalk, a popular entertainment destination featuring amusement rides, waterfront dining, and shops. This makes it convenient for residents to enjoy a variety of recreational activities without extensive travel. Additionally, being midway between Houston and Galveston, roughly a 30-minute drive to each, provides significant accessibility for various needs. Houston offers major medical facilities, employment opportunities, diverse cultural attractions, and extensive shopping, while Galveston provides historic sites, beaches, and a vibrant island atmosphere.
The surrounding roads in Bacliff are generally less busy than major thoroughfares, which can contribute to a more relaxed local environment. However, it is part of a mixed-use area. Daily commutes to industrial areas, work sites, or general errands within League City, Seabrook, and other surrounding communities are manageable from this location.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, the proximity to Galveston Bay means that fishing, boating, and enjoying the coastal ambiance are within reach. While the immediate neighborhood surrounding the park might be considered more utilitarian, the broader regional access is a definite plus for individuals and families who are establishing a long-term presence in their RV. The park's address makes it straightforward to navigate to and from without getting lost in complicated city traffic, adding to its practical appeal for Texans on the move.

For Texans considering Kemah RV Resort, particularly those seeking a long-term RV living solution, this park offers a practical and accessible option in the Galveston Bay area. While not a resort in the traditional sense, its primary suitability for locals lies in its focus on extended stays and its strategic location. For individuals or families needing a consistent place to park their RV, whether due to work in the nearby industrial areas, temporary housing needs, or a desire for a low-cost base in the region, Kemah RV Resort can serve this purpose.
The full hookups and essential amenities like laundry facilities and easily accessible dumpsters cater to the basic requirements of RV living. The presence of duck ponds and some shade trees offers small pockets of natural respite within the park. For Texans with pets, the fenced dog area, though small, provides a designated space. Crucially, the park's location in Bacliff provides convenient access to the larger employment centers and attractions of the Houston-Galveston region. For those commuting to Kemah, League City, or even further into Houston, the park’s position minimizes travel time. This accessibility, combined with the focus on long-term residency, makes it a functional choice for Texans looking to integrate their RV lifestyle into their daily routines in this specific area. While it's important for prospective residents to understand the park's community dynamics and prioritize practicality over extensive recreational amenities, Kemah RV Resort offers a fundamental solution for long-term RV parking in a key Texas coastal location.
Customer Reviews
Do not go here ever. There are cheaper nicer places less then a mile from this location. Tenants are crazy, loud, judgy. Management is worste then prison staff with their actions and lack thereof. The lady up front; useless and needs to be replaced. Maintenance man. Complete jerk and sits on one every night to keep up that attitude. Lastly the owners are thieves! They will steel your money, lie to you, and not do anything about it. You'll be hearing from my lawyers. Messed with wrong person, oh and im getting my money back
This not the place for a family camping trip in the RV, or for a quick weekend getaway in your motorhome. It's located in a not-so-great part of town, and most of its occupants are long-term residents. Check in was easy, and the woman at the counter was polite and helpful. She handed me a long list of their "rules" that I was required to follow, but I noticed that quite a few of the long-term folks weren't following these same rules I was given. The spaces are pretty compact which results in being able to clearly hear everything your neighbors are doing and saying. I was in the middle between three RVs, and all of them were couples who had loud arguments, and their children who left their toys, bicycles, and garbage everywhere which repeatedly blocked me from being able to park my vehicle. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well, my safety was a concern, and I was glad to be out of there after a week. It wasn't all bad, though. They have a few duck ponds with lots of ducks, a fenced in place for dogs to do their business (very small area so I wouldn't consider it a "dog park"), easily accessible dumpsters, and lots of trees offering shade and a few picnic tables. I did not use the pool due to cooler weather, but it looked somewhat clean. I also did not use the laundry facilities, but they do have them.
Wifi absolutely sucks. The bathrooms are always disgusting and the showers are gross. And gotta gamble with the washers and dryers to see which ones will actually work.
If I could give a half star I would. This place is horrible ESPECIALLY if you have kids. Long story short, a group of drunk women (all but 1 aren't residents) basically tried to attack my 7 yr old. When brought to their attention, they did look at cameras but allowed the drunk non residents to keep coming and keep drinking at this pool. I've got video of this. On top of that they decided themselves to cut our hose connecting water to our place (have a pic of that also). So they allow drunks, people that don't live and pay them have more rights than people that do, they are very shady vandalizing things that do not belong to them. It's been issue after issue, but allowing drunk adults as well as teenagers to attack a baby and then mom (me. Have video) when asking what the problem is, that's when I can't take it anymore. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. Many children have brought to the attention of the office the how uncomfortable the "maintenance lady" makes them because she parks and watches them and takes pictures of them, but they do nothing. The 2 bottom people that work here run the place, they have straight up said if they don't like you they have the power to get you kicked out, and they have before. They do everything against the law which makes it a very scary place to be. We have genuinely been scared for our safety multiple times at that place. Sqve yourselves and NOT stay there.
I heard that they have a good bit of drama and stuff people hanging out who may or may not be on drugs I am considering moving there but if it's like this I can't I won't allow around my grandkids and my son grown is a friendly guy he doesn't understand that not everyone wants or will be friends or friendly towards others please reassure me that I am misinformed or something it looks beautiful the park does
