For North Carolinians exploring various housing options, mobile home parks often present an appealing alternative to traditional stick-built homes, offering affordability and a unique community atmosphere. Springdale Village, located in Washington, NC, is one such mobile home park that warrants a closer look. Like any community, it has its distinct characteristics and resident experiences, which are crucial for prospective residents to understand. This article aims to provide a factual and balanced overview of Springdale Village, drawing on public information and resident feedback to help you form a comprehensive picture.

It's important to approach any housing decision with all available information, and understanding the nuances of a community like Springdale Village is key to determining if it aligns with your living preferences. While it offers a pathway to homeownership or rental in a manufactured home setting, considering the experiences of current and past residents can provide valuable insights into daily life within the park.

Location and Accessibility

Springdale Village is located on N Market St, Washington, NC 27889, USA. This places it within the city limits of Washington, a historic waterfront town in Beaufort County. Washington, often referred to as "Little Washington," provides residents with access to local amenities, including shopping, dining, and public services. The proximity to N Market St suggests relatively easy access to one of the city's main thoroughfares, which can be beneficial for commuting and accessing local facilities.

Accessibility within the park typically involves internal roads for vehicles to reach individual manufactured home lots. Given its location within a developed part of the city, residents would likely have convenient access to public utilities and services provided by the city of Washington. However, it's always advisable for prospective residents to visit the property and assess the specific layout and accessibility features of individual lots and common areas.

Services Offered

  • Lot rentals for manufactured homes: The primary service, where residents own their manufactured homes but lease the land they sit on from the park.
  • Property management: Responsible for overseeing the park's operations, including setting rules, collecting lot rent, and addressing maintenance concerns within common areas.
  • Utility access: Provides necessary hook-ups for essential utilities such as electricity, water, and sewer to each individual lot, though residents are typically responsible for their own utility accounts.
  • Community infrastructure: Includes internal roads and possibly basic common areas maintained by the park management.

Features / Highlights

  • Location in Washington, NC: Being situated in Washington provides residents with the benefits of living in a charming historic city, with access to local amenities, the Pamlico River waterfront, and community events.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a mobile home park, Springdale Village primarily focuses on offering lot rentals for manufactured homes rather than traditional "promotions" or "special offers" on short-term stays or specific discounts that might be found in other types of rental properties. The "offer" is the opportunity to live in the community and lease a lot for your manufactured home.

Based on customer reviews, there have been mentions of lot rent being a significant consideration, especially for those who own their trailers. Any specific financial terms, such as current lot rental rates, lease agreements, or potential variations in cost based on home ownership status, would need to be discussed directly with the park's management. It is crucial for interested individuals to contact Springdale Village directly to obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding lot availability, pricing structures, and any specific policies related to residency. This direct communication will provide the necessary details for a fully informed decision.

Lot rent is a lot of money if you own your trailer. It's like if you own one they raise the cost. If your renting it's a bit expensive for what it is plus roaches 🪳
