Customer Reviews
What a quiet place in Dec. 2024. Clean bathrooms. The main opening was closed at the time so we had to use the lower entrance. But there were signs to lead the way. We stayed in spot 139 great spot for good pictures
Very nice , state parks sometimes are ran down, camp hosts very attentive to noise at late hours from people which is nice. tent sites spacious , bathrooms clean, only issue was rv people overflow parking were using a bath houses spaces so that was a pain
The ticks were the worst we have seen anywhere in the country. Pulled over 10 ticks off us and the dog. Using permathin and deet. It didn’t help. They have an infestation like I have never seen. We never left the pavement and somehow got covered. Place would be great if the risk of tick diseases were not so high.
Great camping! Cool people from basically anywhere. Ukraine, Mexico... Excellent staff and very safe. Pets are all leashed. Boat rental, kayak up to power boats. I stayed at site 175. Good view of the water. Shade could've been better but there's many shaded spots. They do not sell cigarettes in the park. There are beers available for $2 each at the boat ramp store. Town isn't far, 20 minutes of your provisions run short.
We stayed in site 80. Our site and the sites all around us had lots of room which maked them feel somewhat private. The pad had a slight incline across it, but not enough to require leveling our small camper. The fire pit had a lot of ashes in it, so it was due to be cleaned out, but not so bad that we couldn't have fires. The bathrooms/shower rooms were clean and big.
