As a municipally-managed park and campground, Lakeview Park and Campground typically doesn't run traditional "promotions or special offers" in the same way a private business might. However, it provides inherent value and benefits that serve as ongoing 'offers' for local Wisconsin residents seeking an affordable and accessible outdoor experience:

  • Affordable Camping Rates: Publicly-owned campgrounds like Lakeview Park generally offer more budget-friendly rates compared to many private campgrounds. This makes quality outdoor recreation more accessible for families and individuals in Wisconsin. According to some sources, the fee was around $20 per night, $140 per week, and $400 per month, which represents competitive pricing for sites with water and electrical hookups.
  • No Reservation Fees: The first-come, first-served system means you avoid any additional reservation booking fees often associated with online reservation platforms at other campgrounds. This simplifies the planning process and can lead to minor cost savings.
  • Included Park Amenities: Amenities such as the playground and volleyball court are available for use by campers typically at no additional charge beyond the camping fee. This adds value, especially for families.
  • Direct Access to Free Public Resources: The campground's location directly on Rib Lake provides free and immediate access to public boat landings and docks, allowing campers to enjoy fishing and boating without needing to pay extra access fees.
  • Seasonal Operation for Optimal Experience: While not a promotion, the campground's operating season (typically mid-April to mid-October) is designed to align with the most favorable weather conditions for camping in Wisconsin, ensuring a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, without a camp host, Rib Lake is not taking care of the campground. I've been camping here for several years. This year, the mosquitoes are so bad, they don't cut the grass, which would help with mosquitoes and keeping sites clean. Showers are now $1.00, and time has been shortened. With the economy the way it is, now is not the time to cut corners and raise prices. Camp fees should cover cost of showers or at least go back to a quarter showers. I do have to say that the bathrooms are clean for the most part. Will find a different campground when we come back to town.

I love the view the only thing is, is that they cleaned out some of the seaweed and now it stinks really bad. But otherwise I loved camping here for the weekend!
