Lincoln Terrace About

For many residents across Illinois, finding a place to call home that aligns with their budget and lifestyle is a key consideration. Manufactured home communities, often referred to as mobile home parks, present a distinct and often more affordable housing option, providing a sense of community and the potential for homeownership. If you're exploring living solutions in central Illinois, specifically in the historic city of Lincoln, then Lincoln Terrace Mobile Home Park is a community that may be on your radar. This article is designed to offer local Illinois users a clear, factual, and informative overview of this community.

The landscape of housing in Illinois is diverse, and manufactured home communities play an important role in providing varied options. These parks typically allow individuals and families to own their manufactured home while leasing the land it occupies. This model can lead to significant cost savings compared to traditional stick-built homes, making homeownership more accessible and providing greater financial flexibility for many individuals and families.

Lincoln Terrace Mobile Home Park, like any residential community, has its own unique characteristics and experiences as shared by residents. Some feedback indicates areas that residents feel need attention, such as "Roads are awful," "Lawn care for their empty lots is awful," and "They need to pick up garbage that is thrown out all over." There are also concerns about management, with one review stating, "park manager never in office. I don't think she knows what work is," and another recounting a difficult experience when trying to purchase a home. Conversely, the official website promotes a "friendly community" with "comfortable homes and spacious lots," aiming to be an "ideal place for anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming neighborhood with a strong sense of community."

We understand that choosing a place to live is a deeply personal and significant decision. Our goal is to provide you with available public information and insights from resident feedback about Lincoln Terrace Mobile Home Park, allowing you to form your own informed opinion. This overview will cover its location, general services typically found in such communities, and what to consider based on resident experiences.

Location and Accessibility

The location of Lincoln Terrace Mobile Home Park is within the city limits of Lincoln, Illinois, offering residents access to the amenities and services of this historic town. Situated at 904 21st St, Lincoln, IL 62656, USA, the park is positioned within a residential area of the city.

Lincoln, the county seat of Logan County, is a city with historical significance, notably being the only town named for Abraham Lincoln before he became president. It is centrally located in Illinois, offering convenient travel times to larger metropolitan areas. For instance, Springfield, the state capital, is approximately 30-45 minutes south, while Decatur and Bloomington are also within a reasonable driving distance. This central positioning makes Lincoln a practical base for residents who may commute for work or wish to access broader services and entertainment options.

The park's address on 21st Street places it within easy reach of local infrastructure. While specific details on walkability directly from the park vary, Lincoln itself is generally considered to have some walkable areas. Public data indicates good access to essential amenities within Lincoln, including grocery stores, dining options, and local shops. The presence of major roadways nearby ensures that residents have straightforward routes for their daily commutes and errands. While one review notes that "roads are awful" within the park itself, the overall accessibility to Lincoln's town center and beyond via established routes is a benefit for residents. Residents have mentioned being "10 minutes anywhere in town" and having "Pleasant area to live small town living with big city resources (super Walmart grocery stores movie theatre building supplies hardware store beauty shops ect)."

Tried to purchase a home with cash in hand. Never even got to apply before the park manger caused me out for taking down a incorrect and out of date flyer. I strongly suggest buying with anybody else.

Horrible don't even know the owners of the place. I want the owners number not just office staff that really don't ever seem to be in the office. It looks so rundown compared to when I first moved here. The roads are damaging my car have had to put new shocks on 2 times in 6 months time. Yes the water smells like bleach. They keep hiring the same company to fix sewage problems and they don't get fixed! The rules are ridiculous here but it seems they pick and choose who they like and allow to move in when others get told no. They have so many trailers empty and lots empty. I own my trailer but yet told what I can and can't do!!

Lots are small and rent continues to be inconsistently charged per perosn. New management has made some much needed improvements by cleaning up the lots have landed some questionable residents. False information given by the office and online. This place is not what it was portrayed to be. No driveways, most all lamp post lights are non functional nor numbers marked. Water gets shut off frequently for all the sewage problems without warning even thou the water is included with lot rent it is straightforward from the treatment plant next door and often smells of bleach. With new management some of the important improvements are being made such as the much needed tree timing and in hopes to improve the impassable roadways

For the amount of lot rent they charge per month there should not be as many problems as there is from cars flying down the road to your water getting shut off frequent to your yard getting tore up because they have plumbing issues
