My husband and I were traveling to Florida with our camper and our truck broke down at a gas station late Saturday evening, I called Magnolia Campground after hours and the owner answered, which is unheard of. We told him our situation and he said that the campground was full but he had a hookup at his house that he used for his camper and that we were welcome to use it and stay as long as we needed. We had made a temporary repair to the truck to get it to the campground then to the dealership on Monday. Bu the time we got to the campground, a lot became available for us. The owner met with us and helped us get parked and told us that we could have all the free fresh eggs and firewood that we wanted. He was the nicest man my husband and I had ever met, we were strangers and he treated us like family. They had chickens, ducks and peacocks, they also had chairs and benches over looking a beautiful pond and a large pavilion. The campground was very well maintained and tranquil. If you are traveling through Columbia SC with your family and need a place to stay, this is a very nice family oriented campground with the most wonderful people on the planet.
Mar 06, 2025 · Cshawnheartless people......they had a spot and we had the money ...only needed a day to get it to them to reserve a spot. they were told the very seriousness of my cousins situation. meaning this is his only option he's homeless and we asked for help. I get it's business but this is why the world is so messed up cause of people not having a freaking heart. my cousin has got to get out our house and just needs a place for him and his dog to get out of our house. I do not like these people at all I don't care how cool their pond is.
May 30, 2025 · Cole LinkThis is a magical, extremely hospitable place. We were on a road trip and needed a place to stay for the night. It was already late when we called the administrator to find out if we could park there. Despite the late call, he answered us, was very kind and hospitable. The territory itself is very well equipped. There is a toilet and shower, a barbecue area, a large kitchen with a stove, a sink and even dishes. Everything is cleaned and in very good condition. If we lived nearby, I would gladly celebrate my birthday there, as it is incredibly beautiful and there are many dining tables for a large company. If we are in this area again, we will definitely visit this place again.
Aug 20, 2024 · Nansi ShandrukAnyone who answers the phone on Sunday night gets five stars! Besides having nice quiet space for our big rig, they had 50amp power, water, chickens (farm fresh eggs!), ducks, geese, peahens and guinea fowl, pond, pavillion and nice bathhouse for just the overflow campers. We had a great quiet overnight here. There was plenty of room for us to turn around to exit in the morning. Many thanks to the kind owner couple, Clarence and Bonny!!
Jul 15, 2024 · deb skowronskiWas planning on staying at congaree National Park but the campgrounds were full. Thank goodness because this place is perfect! RV spots on one side of pond, camping on the other. A nice shower, outdoor community kitchen space, and every kind of bird imaginable! Woke up and made myself some eggs which they let you do. Got a nice shower, and went to the national park. Give this place a visit if you're in the area and need a place to stay. Very friendly staff and other guests.
