These guys were awesome! We came down for the 4th of July and were actually staying at another place on the peninsula. Unfortunately there was bad electrical wiring at the other RV park and it was giving our Airstream “hot skin”. I didn’t want to risk it so we packed up and started calling around. Nobody had any availability but My Happy Place RV park had a no show so they told us just come on over, set up and we’ll settle afterward. We headed over. The park was clean, organized, had nice pads, picnic tables and even shade structures over the picnic tables. We plugged in and no more “hot skin”, everything worked fine. We called to settle up the next day and they told us not to even worry about paying as they felt like we already had enough trouble. Super nice folks! Will be back!!

Where do i start....1st this was a stopover on our way to New Orleans and man o man did we pick the perfect place for us. This is a quiet little park that is not for everyone, but it was a 10/10 for us. The owner Scott was probably the best and most caring about his guest we have ever encountered. We were there for the great freeze and snow of 2025 and while a lot of people were concerned with freezing temps and snow the owner stepped up and took care of his guest. Scott provided antifreeze to those who needed it and then filled at least 6 bottles of propane for any guest that ran out and needed it for heat. I did not personally need any, but I am betting that he didn't charge for it either. We had to stay for 2 extra days than expected and when i asked what the extra charge was his response was simple. It's not your fault that you had to stay and if you are in the area just come visit again (no extra charge needed). WHO DOES THAT????. You are about 6 miles from the Galveston Bay ferry and can be on the island quickly without paying much higher camping rates. Also, this park is within a few blocks of the beach that you can enjoy the Gulf and actually drive out on the beach. I know this was long but honestly i could go on and on. I ABSOLUTLY recommend this park and Scott as a host. We will be back to MY HAPPY PLACE RV PARK because it is definitely a HAPPY PLACE!!!!. Thank you, Scott, for being that kind of host. We stayed in site 204 at My Happy Place RV Camp. Full hookups, covered patio with a table, a fire pit, and pet friendly. The entire place was so clean and well maintained. Walking distance from the beach. The owners were beyond helpful, kind, and accommodating. We will definitely be headed back when there’s warmer weather!

Without a doubt the best RV park we’ve ever been to! Friendly owners (especially to our dogs) who were beyond accommodating to us, their customer service was truly second to none. Easy access right off the highway, amazing plots with ample space, great wifi, and plenty to do considering it’s located basically right on the beach. We will absolutely be coming back even though it was a long drive and definitely won’t forget our mosquito spray next time!
