For Texans looking for a place to stay, whether for an extended period or a shorter visit, understanding the current state and future potential of Oak Haven RV is key.

Texas is a sprawling state with a diverse landscape and a thriving economy, making it a popular destination for RV travel. From the bustling metropolitan areas to the serene countryside, RVers find a multitude of reasons to explore the Lone Star State. The Bryan-College Station (BCS) area, home to Texas A&M University, is a particularly dynamic region, attracting students, faculty, professionals, and visitors year-round. This creates a consistent demand for reliable and comfortable RV accommodations.

Oak Haven RV aims to meet this demand, distinguishing itself through its ongoing transformation. Customer reviews provide a mixed but insightful picture of the park's journey. One recent review highlights a "quiet and friendly neighborhood" and praises the new manager, Ashly, for going "above and beyond to help with anything you need," genuinely caring for residents and wanting the best for the park. This positive feedback points to a management team actively striving to improve the living environment and foster a supportive community. The mention of renovations suggests a forward-looking approach, promising an even better experience for future residents.

However, another review from a former resident indicates challenges during the transition to new ownership and management, citing concerns about attitude, overcharging, and insect infestations. It's important to acknowledge that transitions can be challenging, and while one resident's experience may differ from another's, such feedback underscores the importance of direct communication and due diligence for prospective residents.

This article will provide a balanced and factual overview of Oak Haven RV, detailing its location, accessible services, and the exciting features and highlights that are either present or in development. The aim is to help local Texans make an informed decision about whether Oak Haven RV is the right fit for their RV lodging needs in the Bryan-College Station area.

Location and Accessibility

Oak Haven RV is conveniently situated at 2405 E State Hwy 21, Bryan, TX 77803, USA. This address places it within the city of Bryan, which, along with College Station, forms the vibrant Bryan-College Station (BCS) metropolitan area. This region is a significant hub in Central Texas, known for its dynamic university environment, growing local economy, and access to a wide array of amenities.

The park's location on East State Highway 21 provides excellent accessibility for RVers. State Highway 21 (SH 21) is a major east-west route that traverses a significant portion of Texas, connecting Bryan-College Station to other key areas. This direct highway access means that arriving at and departing from the park is straightforward, minimizing complicated navigation for large RVs.

A key highlight of the park's accessibility is its immediate proximity to essential services and conveniences. As noted by a resident, it is "Close to grocery store, taco truck and gas station across the street." This direct access to daily necessities significantly enhances the convenience for residents, reducing travel time for errands and ensuring immediate access to fuel and food options.

The Bryan-College Station area itself is a major draw. Home to Texas A&M University, the region offers a diverse range of activities, employment opportunities, and cultural events. Residents of Oak Haven RV are well-positioned to access:

  • Academic and Research Facilities: For students, faculty, or visitors associated with Texas A&M.

  • Healthcare: Numerous medical facilities and clinics are available within a short driving distance.
  • Local Attractions: Such as Messina Hof Winery, local parks, and various community events.

The area's transportation network is robust, with easy connections to other major Texas cities via interstate highways. While the park maintains a "quiet and friendly neighborhood" feel, its location ensures that residents benefit from all the advantages of living in a thriving metropolitan area without sacrificing convenience. This strategic location makes Oak Haven RV an attractive option for both short-term visitors and long-term residents seeking a stable and accessible base in the BCS area.

Services Offered

Oak Haven RV, formerly BCS Village 21 RV Park, is undergoing renovations to enhance its offerings, but core services are already in place to support its residents. Based on customer feedback and typical RV park operations, here are the services generally offered:

  • RV Site Rentals: The primary service is providing designated sites for RVs. While not explicitly detailed, it's standard for RV parks to offer a variety of site types, potentially including pull-throughs or back-ins, to accommodate different RV sizes.
  • Full Hookups: Typically, an RV park of this nature would provide full hookups at each site, including electricity (likely 30 and 50 amp service), water, and sewer connections. This is essential for long-term stays and ensures comfort and convenience for residents.
  • Trash Disposal: Access to dumpsters or designated trash collection points would be provided for residents to dispose of waste.
  • Community Management and Support: A key service, highlighted by reviews, is the presence of on-site management. The new manager, Ashly, is specifically praised for going "above and beyond to help with anything you need," demonstrating a commitment to resident support and care. This suggests that the park management is actively involved in addressing resident concerns and fostering a positive environment.
  • Pet-Friendly Environment: While not explicitly stated, most RV parks accommodate pets. Given the description of a "friendly neighborhood," it's likely they maintain a pet-friendly policy, possibly with designated walking areas or specific rules for pet owners.
  • Ongoing Renovations and Improvements: A significant "service" from the park's perspective is its current state of renovation. This indicates an investment in improving facilities and amenities, aiming to provide a better living experience for current and future residents. This implies that while some areas might be under construction, the overall goal is to enhance the park's offerings.

It's important to acknowledge the mixed feedback regarding management consistency and pest control. One review mentioned that the "park served well up until new owner ship AND Manager" and detailed issues like overcharging and insect infestations. This highlights that while management aims to provide support, individual experiences can vary during periods of transition and renovation. Prospective residents should inquire directly about current conditions and any specific services related to pest control or billing.

Overall, Oak Haven RV aims to provide essential services for RV living, with a strong emphasis on management support and continuous improvement through renovation.

A quiet and friendly neighborhood. Close to grocery store, taco truck and gas station across the street . A great place to stay. It is under renovation at the moment but will be even better when it is all done with the new amenities. Shout out to the new manager Ashly. She goes above and beyond to help with anything you need. She genuinely cares and is very approachable. She wants nothing more but the best for her residents and the park. Her wild and fun attitude will keep you laughing and just make your day!

0/0 The park served well up until new owner ship AND Manager. I resided there for 1yr and 7 months. Manager WAS polite and professional for the beginning of the transition but with time and changes came along with the RV Park, her attitude and care for residents has changed for an unpleasant ending with Oak Haven. Manager has to much going on and her not handling 2 parks at a time does not suit her. I have yet waited for some time to hear back from owners, per managers response and I would continuously and make countless efforts of getting a direct answer.( Billing Activity Ive been overcharged and I’ve always made my monthly payments)I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH OAK HAVEN. There are many other and professional Rv Parks to do business with in BCS. SIDE NOT This park is infested with insects, residents do Bomb there Rv/ Trailer and roaches spread! Best of luck.

Very disappointed how this park is turning out. It was a lot better when it was the village 21 RV park now it's going down hill. They took away our basic cable, they quit selling propane, they took away the hot water in the laundry room and shower areas, and they closed the office that was in the camp ground and moved it off the property so if you had a issue with your lot or anyone there was no one there to help. and the people that live there are unemployed, addicts, trouble makers, and wolf's in sheep's clothing. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

THIS IS A NICE , WELL RUN PARK. The managers are friendly and helpful. There are a lot of nice services such as onsite propane and trash pick-up at your site. Most of the guests are long term but they welcome overnight guests as well.. The park is a quite and clean family and pet friendly park.. The laundry room is nice . We had a nice stay for the 2 months we were there. I highly recommend this park if you need to be close to everything, and are looking for a friendly , clean park.
