- Seasonal Rates: Camping fees can vary depending on the site type (e.g., standard, electric/water) and potentially the time of year, though direct seasonal discounts are less common for federal campgrounds compared to private ones. Prices generally range from $22.00 to $50.00 per night.
- Halloween Event: While not a discount, the popular Halloween "Trunk or Treat" and costume decorating contest serves as a significant annual draw. Participating in these events offers a unique and memorable experience that adds value to a fall camping trip.
- Reservation System: Campsites are reservable up to 6 months in advance via Recreation.gov. While this isn't a "promotion," booking in advance, especially for popular times like the Halloween period, is highly recommended to secure a spot.

Customer Reviews
I love camping here near Halloween. They have the trunk or treat, and the costume decorating contest is always fun. The place is well maintained and quiet at night. I wish they had sewer at the sites but the duo station is easy to get to and close by in the park. The only negative from what I’ve heard from friends and family are the caretakers. They did seem to spend a lot of time driving around telling people to stop doing stuff.
This is the best campground around! The park attendants are such nice people always willing to help. I would say the ones who are complaining are the ones who don’t want rules and continue to break the rules! We stay here as much as we can and always have a great time! The attendants always greet you with a smile and always willing to help in anyway! I don’t have to worry about my family because the sheriff department as well as the attendants make rounds to make us feel safe! Very family oriented! My kids love pulling up and getting dumdums from the nice people! So if you don’t like following rules this isn’t the place for you! Maybe find a place where anything is allowed because we like the rules and like knowing our family is safe!
The camp host has nothing better to do than drive around harassing guests. She must be jealous because I’m sure no one likes her and she has no friends. If you use your tent be prepared to throw it away after because the floor will be tore up due to putting it on gravel.
Every year I go here there are yet more rules! This year we could not put our tent on the grass or burn the same kind of firewood we hauled and burned last year. Sheriff constantly patrols and the campground manager threatens to "give you a ride to Nashville" upon arrival if you violate any rule. Showers are disgusting. The only half-way nice people are the out-of-town campers.
If I could give this place a negative review I most definitely would! The campground assistant is the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Not to mention she harassed our family from the time we got there until the time we left. I will never go back to this place and I highly advise no one else does either...such a disappointment.
