Customer Reviews
The campground is a pretty decent campground. Most lots I have seen and used have a concrete pad. All have fire rings in designated spots. You're allowed 2 vehicles per site. Visitors have to pay $5 for parking and there is also a designated spot for that. The bathhouse in the back of the campground is very spacious. Several stalls and 4 shower rooms (at least for the women's side). Can't say for sure in the men's. I haven't ventured into the laundry room part, as I used Middleville Laundromat or the one over in Wayland. The store/office is spacious compared to most I have seen with a wide variety of items. They have mini golf, basketball hoop, rec center with activities throughout the summer, an indoor pool (deposit for entry required), playground area, pond, and the river right down the way for fishing. It's very well maintained, the owners and workers are definitely on top of keeping the grounds clean and all amenities working. They close the entrance after 11 pm. If you need to enter from 11 pm to 6 am, they have remotes available with a $10 returnable deposit when it is brought back to the office. Overall it's not a bad little campground, the price is very decent, and the people are pretty laid back.
Nice, quiet campground. Was there on a Thursday night in April. My site was roomy, the bathroom and shower rooms were clean. Was going to visit Ford Museum in Grand Rapids. All in all, great experience.
The family that runs this are nasty people. The man that works there took every single opportunity he could to be rude not only to me but every single interaction I saw with other people as well. I will always regret not just leaving as soon as it was an issue, we will never come back here. We also paid extra for a waterfront site and they allowed one of their friends to come over and take over our site, while we were sitting there. The woman came up and said it was no problem that their friend was in our site. I wouldn’t have had such a problem with her being so close but she had a small dog that kept trying to bite my kids anytime we came anywhere near her and it was difficult to avoid her since she sat her chair maybe 2 feet from where my kids were playing. It also was not a situation where it was open or near a public area, our site was kind of fenced off in areas and it was very clearly marked. We’ve lived full time for 3 years traveling the country and never seen a campground run by a family like this.
First and last time at this campground. The sites are small and no one respects the site boundaries. Definitely would not recommend to anyone!
Best campground in the Middleville area. So much to do here. Bathrooms are clean. the campground staff is friendly, and so many people to talk to. Also they have fun events that happen on Saturdays. Would highly recommend. It is also close to Caledonia making it easy to get supplies.
