Maine residents know that the quintessential New England summer experience involves a trip to the coast, and for many, that means Old Orchard Beach. While the hustle and bustle of the Pier and the seven miles of sandy shoreline are a major draw, finding a quiet, comfortable, and amenity-rich home base is key to a perfect vacation. This is where Paradise Park Resort Campground shines, offering a true 'resort' experience nestled on forty wooded acres, yet incredibly close to all the action.
A long-standing local favorite, Paradise Park is more than just a place to pitch a tent or park an RV; it’s a full-service family destination. Run by the welcoming Halle Family, the campground has cultivated a reputation for being exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and staffed by a friendly, helpful team who are often praised by visitors for their outstanding service—even going the extra mile to assist with parking campers upon arrival. This commitment to guest satisfaction has made it a premier choice for those seeking the perfect blend of seaside excitement and tranquil natural surroundings in the southern Maine region.
The resort offers a variety of site types to suit every preference, whether you are traveling in a massive recreational vehicle, a pop-up, or just looking for a spot to enjoy the simplicity of tent camping. In addition to the many wooded and private campsites, they also offer deluxe rental units—two-bedroom park homes featuring full-size kitchens and bathrooms—for those who prefer a touch of extra comfort and convenience. The property features its own five-acre bass pond, adding a serene, natural focal point to the resort setting. It truly lives up to its name by creating a peaceful, family-oriented atmosphere right in the heart of one of Maine's most popular coastal towns.
Location and Accessibility
One of the most compelling features for Maine locals and visitors alike is the campground’s prime location. Paradise Park Resort is situated at 50 Adelaide Rd, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064, USA. This address places it perfectly in a quiet, secluded neighborhood, providing a calm retreat away from the noise of the main strip, yet its proximity to downtown Old Orchard Beach is unbeatable.
In fact, the resort is located just about 800 feet from the heart of Old Orchard Beach, its famous Pier, amusements, and shopping. This incredible positioning means that many guests can comfortably leave their vehicles parked and walk right to the beach and all the downtown attractions in a matter of minutes. For those who prefer a lift or are heading out for a long day of fun, the campground even offers a complimentary shuttle service during the summer season, making access to the beachfront and the town center even easier and eliminating the hassle and cost of downtown parking.
For those exploring further afield, Old Orchard Beach is centrally located in southern Maine. Attractions like Palace Playland, Aquaboggan Water Park, and Funtown Splashtown USA are all a short drive away. Furthermore, the area is rich with the picturesque coastal scenery and lighthouses that Maine is famous for, and the Amtrak Downeaster station is nearby, offering convenient rail travel connections to destinations like Boston for those looking to expand their trip beyond the Pine Tree State.

AMAZING! Awesome staff, beautiful area. When we arrived a staff member came over to assist us with backing in our camper. Super helpful staff and just an overall amazing experience. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Sep 13, 2025 · Katie SweeneyThe folks who run this campground are awesome! We had a last minute change in plans & needed a site on short notice and they came through for us. Didn't expect a good site but the one we got (327) was perfect for us. Back in the wooded section of the park, nice and quiet, and near the bathroom/showers. The park has sites for every type of camper, waterfront RV or tent, wooded private sites, big rig friendly, cabins, you name it. Not only does the park have a lot to offer in terms of amenities, but the location is ideal. Despite the fact that it is set back in a quiet neighborhood, you can easily walk right to all downtown attractions. Can't wait to travel here again!
Jun 26, 2025 · Ed NewellLast weekend we camped at Paradise Park. It was our first time there, and our first time camping with our new pop-up. We really liked the cleanliness of the park along with all the amenities. Also, the location was fantastic only being a 10-15 minute walk to the pier. We were able to bring our dog along as well which was nice. We camped with some family and friends so our party had several sites in a row. One family member had a tent so they were a little ways away from us and sadly they caught someone on there site one afternoon rummaging through their cooler. The person ran as they approached and it didn't look like they had taken anything, but still a crazy situation. While not the parks fault at all. It is a good remined to be careful as not everyone camping has good intentions.
Jun 19, 2025 · Joshua HemondA pretty nice campground, fairly well maintained, with some great amenities like pool, hot tub, paddle boat rental, laundry, and more. The problem is the people - fireworks, even though the campground says they are prohibited, kept going off well beyond the quiet hours and waking me and my family. In addition to that, there's a train that goes through OOB frequently, and it was blasting its horn almost all night long. There was no sleep to be had. If other people weren't lacking in empathy, it would definitely be a better trip.
Aug 12, 2025 · Arthur LewisWe had a great pull through site for our Motor Home. The park was maintained to high standards. Everything was clean and like new condition. The salt water pool and spa were great. Walk to the beach is an easy 10 minutes or a shuttle is available.
