It intentionally embraces a rustic, back-to-nature philosophy, but enhances the experience with thoughtful amenities that ensure a comfortable stay.
The property distinguishes itself by offering a variety of unique accommodations that go beyond traditional tent camping, including luxury glamping tents and even a tree house built with wood milled right on the property. As one delighted guest noted after staying at the Owl's Nest Glamping Tent, the experience is "wonderful, separated from others, quiet, bright stars at night," and features a "very comfortable bed." This dedication to privacy, comfort, and the serene environment is a core component of the Porcupine Creek experience.

We just spent two fabulous days and nights at the Owls Nest Glamping Tent at Porcupine Creek. The site was wonderful, separated from others, quiet, bright stars at night, fire pit with grill, tent on a platform that was amazing and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom/shower facilities were clean. Lots of local things to do. Great for families, couples, and groups. Will definitely return.
Sep 16, 2025 · Caroline RontenMy boyfriend and I were able to book a last minute weekend stay after or original campsite canceled our reservations the day before our camping trip. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and made sure to come by to meet us and offer a tour despite our late arrival that evening. Our stay was peaceful and well equipped with water, firewood and other supplies thanks to the hosts. Would recommend!
Jul 10, 2023 · Danica HansonStayed here with some friends, and I have to say that I've never had a better camping experience. Cathy and Jeff were the most welcoming, caring, attentive, and kind hosts I've ever had the pleasure to interact with. The site itself is beautiful and spacious. We stayed at Woodchuck Acres. There are bathrooms with composting toilets and separate baths where you're able to hang the provided solar showers if you wish to shower. All the facilities are beautiful and hand-built by Jeff. They are clean and extremely well maintained. The area is quiet and safe. At night, the sky is absolutely astonishing. You'll see so many stars I can't recommend Porcupine Creek enough. If you're looking for a spot to camp in Maine, definitely put this high on your list. Thanks again, Jeff and Cathy!
