As a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) campground, River Junction primarily focuses on providing affordable, essential services rather than running frequent, complex promotional offers in the way a private commercial campground might. Their pricing structure, noted as "$26 per night" in a past review, typically reflects a standard rate for the provided amenities.

However, it's important for Georgians to be aware of potential discounts commonly available at COE campgrounds. These often include:

  • America the Beautiful - National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Senior Pass: U.S. citizens or permanent residents aged 62 or older can purchase this lifetime pass, which typically provides a 50% discount on camping fees at federal campgrounds, including COE sites.

  • America the Beautiful - National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Access Pass: This free lifetime pass is available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities and also provides a 50% discount on camping fees at federal campgrounds.

While not a "promotion" in the traditional sense, these passes offer significant savings for eligible individuals, making already reasonable rates even more affordable. It is always recommended to check the official U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation website or call River Junction (COE) Campground directly to confirm current rates, availability, and eligibility for any applicable federal passes or discounts. They will have the most up-to-date information to help you plan your budget-friendly camping trip.

We loved the quiet and simplicity. Sites are on a small loop we took #11 in 40 ft 5thwheel. Great access, find a site then pay at the orange machine near entrance. We didn't use restrooms. Site has electricity and water. There's. Dump station available on exit. Plenty of wildlife, bees, insects, alligators, armadillo x1... no real bities, no mozzies (Oct & sunny) Peaceful in our experience, $26 per night. Ranger drove round a few times, didn't bother about our off-leash pup. Spent 4 nights. Def stay again. People we met were very friendly. Lake is massive, don't swim or let doggo near it 🐊
