Customer Reviews
My wife and I stayed here this past weekend, May 26-29, 2023. Had a rough start, got there late, about 9:30pm. One of the owners came out and helped us choose a spot and get backed in, shined his lights on the spot so I could see better. There is a large lake there with a dock to fish off of. If you have boat, there’s a public boat ramp just up the road you can use. There is no boat ramp at the camp ground. If you have a small boat, like a Jon boat, you could launch it from the campground. I spoke with one owner, the wife, back in April to get a reservation. She was just as nice as could be. Her husband helped me Friday night, he was also just as nice as could be. That’s only time we dealt with or seen the owners. We stayed at the wast campground. There is a west campground as well. The one we stayed at had about 15 or so spots. Not crowded at all. We had enough space at our spot. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We will stay there again. It is full hookup, no cable or Wi-Fi. This place is out in the country. There are a couple convenient stores close by with a family dollar/dollar tree and a dollar general close by. About a 25-30 minute ride to Walmart in bainbridge, Ga. There is a concrete pad at each site for a patio.
Stayed here January 2020. I like this campground. The price is right, the location is great, and the owners are easy going, friendly, and accommodating. Sites are spread out enough that you don't have to worry about hearing your neighbor's conversations and you'll have room to do your thing. Parking was on gravel with a concrete patio. The nightly rate reflects honest pricing, not jumped-up charges for services they don't provide. Owners were upfront that there is no cable TV or WiFi. My ATT signal was strong enough to stream HD TV, however my Verizon cell signal was one to two bars. I plan to visit again the next time I roam around the region.
Wonderful place to stay away from home the people that run the place are very nice they brought us a table to us to use while we were fishing and having fun on the lake. Looking forward to visiting again.
