This place is the coolest little RV spot. I found so far since in East Texas. These people are so welcoming. They treat you like family here. The owner is one of the nicest men I have met since Texas. Very quiet very calm. You can see the star is so bright at night. There’s a little fishing pond where you can go catch fish and let them back gothe shower house and laundromat is the cleanest ever well taken care of and well maintenance. Can’t say enough positive things about this place. This place is just so awesome and so are all the people here. You should definitely check it out if you’re in the area. The property next-door has these huge, beautiful longhorns that walk right along the fence that you can sit and watch beautiful creatures.
Jun 06, 2025 · Nick SunSteve is extremely gracious and understanding. I could not get in on my planned date due to heavy rains the whole day. We just pushed back my arrival a day. The park is a work in progress but offers some very nice accommodations. The rest room/showers are single person and huge. Very clean & nice. Laundry is nice but Steve did say the water is still a little orange. They are filtering all the water but well water is well water. Concrete pads are a huge plus in rainy weather. They could be a little wider or add a 'picnic table extension' where doors open and steps go. I had to hug the edge on one side so my steps would come down on the concrete. Have to step sideways off the step to avoid the mud/dirt. Currently there are pallets-hopefully a temporary solution. Also some pallets by the electric/water hookups. This part of Texas has had an inordinate amount of rain so is really unfair to judge strictly by this as to the wetness. The day I didn't get here a campground north of me turned me away, Afraid I would not be able to get out or maybe even in since it was so wet. As I said the concrete pads are a huge plus. The full hookups are not ideal for my trailer. The septic hookup is at the back of the site. The electric & water are near the front. I would need an extension for either the electric (on the back corner of my RV or for my septic-in front of wheel wells). I made sure to hook up before extending my slides. One extends over the grassy area, the other extends to the edge of the pad. It is impossible to walk around my trailer. At least without boots. Pull through sites are in the works, in the center but will have to wait for dryer weather. Nice site layout. Not crowded. I would definitely recommend the park and return if I am in the area. Would love to see how it turns out. Thank you, Steve, for your kindness and attentiveness. Good luck moving forward.
Dec 28, 2024 · Sue MI agree with the other reviewers and would add that they are conveniently located across the road from the Lake Livingston State Park. You can stay here and get a Parks Pass ($6/day use fee waived for those with a free Veterans Pass). Or, you can stay here before or after reservations in the State Campground. All sites have water and electricity, so no noisy generators.
Oct 12, 2024 · Jim Moto Hobo HebertIt's still in development, so no amenities other than the bath house. The bathrooms are home style, with each having a toilet, shower, and sink plus a nice bench to sit on while dressing. Handicapped accessible with grab bars and a seat in the shower, plus two heights for the shower heads. We only stayed one night on our trip west, but if we return this way, we would stay longer to visit the state park. Oh, and they offer wifi great for those of us who aren't on Verizon. Far enough from the interstate to be quiet, but close enough to enter easily.
Feb 22, 2025 · Diana FrederickHave stayed twice. 1st stay was mid October through beginning of December, 2024. Loved the quiet and rural location which is about 7 miles from Livingston, Texas. The park is gated which is a big plus. There are shower and laundry facilities. Lake Livingston State Park is across the road and a great place for hiking trails and cycling. Our 2nd stay we arrived mid March and are here through mid April, 2025. Reasonable rates and great management.
