Howdy, Texas outdoor adventurers and fishing enthusiasts! If you’re searching for an RV park that puts you right at the heart of some of East Texas’s best fishing and boating opportunities, BROWDERS RV Park in Coldspring, TX, might just be the spot for your next getaway. This park is particularly renowned among locals as one of the primary access points for launching your boat into the Trinity River and Lake Livingston, offering unparalleled convenience for those looking to cast a line or enjoy a day on the water.
BROWDERS RV Park offers a more rustic and straightforward experience, focusing on providing essential access to the natural beauty and recreational activities of the area. It’s a place for those who prioritize proximity to fishing hot spots and beautiful waterfront views over luxurious amenities. While some aspects of the facilities may reflect a more utilitarian approach, the undeniable draw is its prime location for accessing the river and the lake. If your idea of a perfect RV trip involves waking up close to the water, ready to fish, boat, or simply enjoy the serene East Texas landscape, BROWDERS RV Park provides that crucial connection to the outdoors. It’s a dedicated spot for Texans who live for the water and the tranquility of a natural setting.
BROWDERS RV Park is ideally situated at 1333 FM3278, Coldspring, TX 77331, USA. This location places it perfectly for direct access to some of the most sought-after fishing and boating destinations in East Texas: the Trinity River and the vast Lake Livingston. FM 3278 is a rural highway that winds through the natural beauty of San Jacinto County, offering a peaceful drive to the park.
The accessibility of BROWDERS is its strongest suit for fishing and boating enthusiasts. It’s highlighted as "about the only place you can put in to fish the river," making it a crucial hub for local anglers. For those wanting to fish Lake Livingston, the park also offers "decent boat launch" facilities. While recent floods have impacted some ramps and parking, its role as a primary access point remains undisputed. Coldspring itself is a charming small town in the Piney Woods region, offering basic necessities and a taste of local Texas culture. Larger towns like Livingston and Huntsville are within a reasonable driving distance, providing more extensive shopping and dining options if needed. This location offers a convenient gateway to significant natural resources, making it a strategic choice for Texans whose outdoor activities revolve around the water.
Based on the provided information, BROWDERS RV Park offers essential services primarily geared towards facilitating access to the river and lake, along with basic accommodations.
It is important for prospective visitors to confirm the exact nature of RV site hookups and cabin amenities directly with the park, especially considering the rustic nature implied by some reviews.
BROWDERS RV Park, while rustic, offers distinct features and highlights that appeal specifically to outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking a direct connection with the natural environment.
It’s worth noting that some reviews highlight challenges with road conditions and cabin upkeep (e.g., sticky floors, roaches, smells, gaping holes), suggesting that visitors should manage expectations regarding luxury and focus on the primary benefit: unparalleled access to the river and lake. The beauty of the location and view, however, remains a consistent positive.
Specific, formal promotions or special offers are not publicly detailed for BROWDERS RV Park in the provided information. Given the nature of some reviews, which focus on access and basic facilities rather than extensive amenities, it is common for such parks to maintain a consistent pricing structure rather than frequent promotional deals.
However, one point of concern noted by a reviewer is that they "charge way too much money if you have a fishing partner with you." This suggests that there might be additional fees beyond the basic launch or stay cost for extra individuals, which could be considered a "charge" rather than a "promotion."
Prospective visitors are strongly encouraged to contact BROWDERS RV Park directly using the provided phone number to inquire about current rates for RV sites, cabin rentals, boat launch fees, and any additional charges for guests or fishing partners. Direct communication is the best way to get accurate and up-to-date pricing information for your planned visit.

About the only place you can put in to fish the river. Recent floods have destroyed a couple of boat ramps and parking after launching is limited and not very good. Decent boat launch if you want to fish the lake. Downside is they charge way too much money if you have a fishing partner with you.
May 02, 2025 · weldon lewisI have mixed feelings about the camp ground. It is an absolute beautiful location and view of the lake. That was about it. First, I will say the roads are so bad I thought I was going to pop a tire or rip the undercarriage of my car out. Our families rented both big cabins. The floors were so sticky it felt like walking through a greasy cafe. Both cabins were infested with roaches. (So bad that our family in the other cabin left) and they weren't tree roaches. They were the little baby dirty ones. It smelled like a nursing home. Thank God I brought a candle. There were huge gaping holes by the door and in the closets. However, I was grateful to have running water and electricity but I may as well been sleeping outside in a tent.

Jan 21, 2025 · G HokBest coffee in the area ( this from a real coffee drinker from the Navy) Their Burger basket leaves nothing to be desired, with a choice of 1/2 or 1/3 lb. I can't eat all the fries but I try. Pizza by the slice or bigger, a long menu to pick from. Fast service and a dinning area. Very clean
Jan 15, 2025 · Johnie MaloneThe 2023 St. Jude BBQ cook-off and auction was great. Good food and good people came together for a great cause. The grounds are beautiful, and we had the perfect weather for the weekend.
