Full Hookups:
The park offers RV sites with full hookups, including water, sewer, and electrical connections (likely 30 and 50 amp service). This is crucial for long-term residents, providing all necessary utilities for a self-contained RV lifestyle.
New Laundry Facilities:
A significant recent upgrade highlighted by guests is the installation of new washers and dryers in the on-site laundry room. This modern amenity is a major convenience for all campers, especially those staying for weeks or months, eliminating the need to find off-site laundromats.
Restrooms and Showers:
While one review noted the previous uncertainty about the cleanliness of restrooms, it also mentioned seeing people use them and assuming the new owner has improved them. It is reasonable to assume that usable restrooms and showers are available for guests, a standard amenity in most RV parks.
Internet Access (Wi-Fi):
Public information indicates that internet access is an offered amenity, allowing guests to stay connected for work, communication, or entertainment.
Water Access:
Being named "Sabine River RV Park" and located on LA-5 suggests direct or very close access to the Sabine River. This implies that water access is available for recreational activities, though specific details like boat ramps or fishing piers within the park were not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews.
Sabine River RV Park's appeal stems from several key features and highlights, especially for its target demographic of long-term residents and workers. These aspects create a practical and welcoming environment.
Affordable Monthly Rates:
A primary highlight consistently emphasized by guests is the park's competitive monthly pricing, described as "cheapest around" in the area. This makes it an incredibly attractive option for extended stays and budget-conscious travelers or workers.
Friendly and Responsive Ownership:
Both previous and new owners are praised for being "so nice" and "very friendly." The current owner has also shown a commitment to park improvements, demonstrating responsiveness to guest needs and enhancing the overall experience.
Suitable for Workers (e.g., Oil and Gas):
The park is highly recommended by and caters to "oil and gas workers," indicating that it provides the necessary infrastructure and atmosphere for those working in the region who require stable, affordable, and convenient housing.
Quiet Environment:
While not explicitly stated in reviews, the nature of a long-term oriented RV park in a rural setting generally implies a quieter atmosphere compared to transient, high-traffic parks. This peacefulness contributes to a comfortable living situation.
Long-Term Stay Capability:
The fact that guests have been staying at the location "since January" or for extended periods ("I don’t think you can beat $375 a month in this area") clearly indicates its suitability and popularity for long-term residency.
Continuous Improvements:
The new owner's initiative to "put in new washers and dryers" and potentially clean up restrooms demonstrates a proactive approach to maintaining and enhancing the park's facilities, showing a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Sabine River RV Park’s primary "special offer" or promotion is its highly competitive monthly rate, which is a significant draw for its target demographic. As highlighted in customer reviews, the monthly price is considered "cheapest around" in the area, offering exceptional value for long-term accommodations.
Affordable Monthly Rate:
One review specifically mentions a rate of "$375 a month," which is positioned as an unbeatable price in the region. This indicates that the park’s core value proposition lies in its long-term affordability, especially beneficial for workers or those planning extended stays.
Inclusion of Utilities (Implied):
While not explicitly stated for all rates, for such competitive monthly pricing, it is often implied that basic utilities like water, sewer, and potentially electricity (or a generous allowance) are included, further enhancing the affordability. However, it is always best to confirm what is included with the park directly.
Given that the park caters heavily to long-term residents, specific weekly or daily rates may also be available, but the monthly option appears to be the most advantageous and promoted feature. For the most current pricing and details on what is included in the monthly rate, prospective guests are strongly encouraged to contact Sabine River RV Park directly using the provided contact information.

Still currently at this location since January. Seldom saw the previous owner but she was so nice and we had no issues and it has extended into the same with the new owner! He came in and made nice changes by putting in new washers and dryers. Not sure if he had the restrooms cleaned up to be usable but I do see people using them so I am assuming he did! I would stay here again! I don’t think you can beat $375 a month in this area.
May 21, 2025 · Delia HernandezGreat campgrounds for a worker like myself. The monthly price is cheapest around and the owners are very friendly. Will definitely recommend to other oil and gas workers.
Feb 25, 2025 · Mike BrownLast minute decision I'm so glad we made. Owner is fantastic! Bathroom and laundry rooms super clean. Each space has a concrete pad. Full hookup $20/night!
Feb 11, 2023 · Rebecca FI was just trying to evacuate and find a safe clean place to park. I will return here for that reason if ever needed again. The place is occupied mostly by workers, some with families, and incredibly quiet. It was clean with sites that were spacious and orderly looking. This is not an entertainment RV Park, but it was a great, quiet escape to ride out the storm. The owner is very kind and accommodating. The campers there were also friendly.
