Stayed in our camper, staff was super accommodating and friendly. They even allowed us to switch sites when we arrived to an area that was less crowded (we were early in the season) and the space was available. Firewood was delivered promptly, the space was clean, it was SUPER QUIET, and my only regret was not getting a site that had the concrete patio pad because those spots have a nice bit of space behind them which is great if you have dogs. The only downside to this site, and this is really a note for potential future improvement, would be a bigger dog park so larger breeds can truly run their energy out. The dog park is a tad on the small side, but otherwise, a great stay at this KOA.
May 12, 2025 · A CVERY nice campground!! The patio sites are extra awesome! So great to have a charcoal grill! Lots of dog space! Excellent laundry facilities! Rhonda, Olivia and the guys were super accommodating! We WILL be back!!!!
May 19, 2025 · Louise BecklundMe and my sister have stayed here two years in a row and plan to come back, pam made us some wonderful pizzas, rhonda set us up very nicely with our site, and josh so kindly delivered us some fire wood to our camp. We have loved staying here, eveyone has made it feel like home. We where so exited to come back!
May 30, 2025 · Lillian SchaferWe stayed at this KOA the last 5 days. We liked the location, the free shuttle to the Mackinac Island and the RV park. The problem we had was the information we received from the staff on the cost of the water ferry to Mackinac Island. We are older veterans and were told by the staff when we asked at the KOA if the ferry offered discounts and were told by them, the ferry didn’t recognize veterans and give a discount, so we bought tickets at the KOA. When we got to Sheplers Ferry, we found out veterans tickets are $13 dollars/each cheaper at Sheplers ticket office. For 2 of these tickets would have been is a total discount of $26. I have alway been: “If you don’t know something, don’t act like you do!” Thanks, Mike Nichols Louisville, KY
May 31, 2025 · Mike NicholsA very nice campground. I stayed here in October 2024 during my fall foliage trip to the UP. Like every KOA, the grounds are nice and clean, especially the bathrooms. The laundry room has good WiFi. Hosts were very friendly and allowed me to check in remotely knowing I would be a late arrival. I will be returning in June when I (finally) will make the boat ride from St. Ignace to Mackinac (and bring back plenty of fudge for friends and family). Highly recommended to anyone who visits St. Ignace, including you trolls brave enough to venture to this side of da bridge!
