The Meadows At Countrywood stands out as a highly suitable living option for many locals in the Florida region, particularly those in or approaching their retirement years. Its suitability is rooted in a combination of factors that cater to a desired lifestyle, financial considerations, and community values prevalent in the Sunshine State.
Firstly, its designation as a 55+ age-qualified community is a significant draw for active adults seeking a specific social environment. Many Floridians, whether long-time residents or recent transplants, look for communities that offer a peer-oriented setting where shared interests and activities are commonplace. The extensive list of amenities, including heated swimming pools, a fitness center, shuffleboard, tennis courts, and an on-site golf course, directly addresses the desire for an active and engaged lifestyle. These facilities provide ample opportunities for recreation, exercise, and social interaction, fostering a vibrant community where residents can build new friendships and pursue hobbies. The renovated clubhouse further enhances this by serving as a central hub for organized events and gatherings, contributing to a strong sense of belonging.
Secondly, the financial aspect of manufactured home living often provides a compelling alternative in Florida's housing market. While the community has experienced rent increases, mobile homes generally offer a more affordable path to homeownership compared to traditional stick-built houses, especially in areas with desirable amenities. This allows residents to manage their housing costs more effectively, potentially freeing up resources for travel, leisure, or other personal interests. For many Floridians, particularly those on fixed incomes, this affordability can be a critical factor in maintaining a comfortable and worry-free retirement. The structure of owning the home but leasing the lot can also simplify property maintenance concerns, as common areas are typically managed by the park, reducing the upkeep responsibilities for individual residents.
Finally, the strategic location in Plant City solidifies its appeal. Residents get to enjoy the charm and slower pace of a smaller Florida city, known for its friendly atmosphere and local traditions like the Strawberry Festival. Yet, they are just a short drive away from the metropolitan amenities of Tampa and Lakeland, and easy access to major highways opens up the entire Central Florida region, including beaches and theme parks. This blend of local tranquility and regional accessibility means residents can enjoy a relaxed daily life while having countless options for entertainment, shopping, dining, and healthcare within easy reach. The combination of an active, age-qualified community, potentially more manageable living costs, and a prime Central Florida location makes The Meadows At Countrywood a highly suitable and attractive choice for locals looking to enjoy their golden years to the fullest.
Customer Reviews
The residents are great, problem is the management. Rent is sky high. They claim to be a 55+ community but we are seeing more and more younger people moving in. Do your research on ELS before moving here. I wish we had. You'll see that their greedy slum lords. The land where our home on is sinking even more so after Milton, their responsible for the land upkeep. They've known about this for a year, nothing. Is being done to fix their problem. Waiting for someone to fall in the hole and sue ELS. Look up in FB, We The People Are Getting Screwed By Equity Lifestyle Properties.
Moved in about 6 months ago. The place is quiet and well maintained. The rent is really expensive but, so is everything now days. the water serving the community comes from a well and is ridiculously hard so, be prepared to install a softener if the place your buying doesn't already have one. People are friendly, the majority of the places are well maintained save a few here and there. The common area buildings are a bit dated but, well maintained. All in All a really nice, quiet place to live.
Gates are broken 90 % of time, water shut off often for days because of water breaks, golf course in terrible conditions, pools not properly maintained, clubhouse dated and a continuous high increase for leased land.
3 years ago when I moved in it was a gated community. Now management has turned it into trailer park trash. Rent is Sky High.gates don't work. Water is not able to be used for anything but the toilet. I do not recommend this place
Management needs to do a better job with fire ants. I walk my dog, and I'm constantly on the lookout. Also, Gates software/controls need to be updated. Any guests coming in after gate closes can't use the keypad because it only works with local area code, which I don't have, so they have to call me so I can drive to gate and figure out best way to get gate open. How many people in Florida don't have local area code? .... many! Last, they need to relax their parking restrictions a bit. They really don't have a dedicated parking area for visitors.
