Tonkawa Falls RV Park About

For many RVers across Texas, the search for a park often balances the desire for convenience with a longing for natural beauty and a strong sense of community. Tonkawa Falls RV Park in Crawford, Texas, presents a unique blend of rustic charm and a welcoming atmosphere, particularly for those looking for a longer-term stay. Named after the stunning nearby Tonkawa Falls, this park offers residents the opportunity to immerse themselves in a peaceful environment, surrounded by nature, while still being part of a close-knit group of fellow campers.

Unlike some of the more commercialized RV resorts, Tonkawa Falls RV Park embraces a more natural, "still in its natural state" aesthetic, which appeals to those who appreciate an untouched landscape. This focus on natural beauty, combined with a strong sense of resident camaraderie, sets it apart. While some aspects of the park's infrastructure may present areas for improvement, the core experience of quiet living and mutual support among full-time residents is a significant draw. This article will provide a comprehensive look at Tonkawa Falls RV Park, detailing its location, services, features, and why it might be the ideal spot for locals and long-term RVers in Central Texas.

I moved my RV here from Lake Waco and I love it. I have been living here about 2 months and i love it during the week when its not over crowded and before school was out it was better. I think that most of the people in the RVs i have met are like me they plan to stay for a long time. They are very friendly and help each other with whatever you need. The police officiers and city workers come through daily and keep it well mowed . Its up to residents to keep our laundry and showers cleaned and most all of us do. I thought some RV rules were a bit strict but its fine cause we all get along well here and if the outsiders that come to swim on weekends cared like we do it would never have trash left out by the water. I plan to stay a long time like most others here.

The lots are not clearly marked nor paved. The hookups are in disrepair and need to be refurbished. The park is rusticly beautiful as it is still in its natural state. There are many full-time campers residing here, and they keep their lots tidy. This is definitely a park that is good for one or two nights if passing through Crawford and needing a place to stay. Still a beautiful part of Texas. Please clearly mark the lots and get the hookups renovated.

Perfect little swimming hole. Water was low today so no cliff jumping but that didn't stop several families from enjoying the beautiful day and water.

This camp lacks attention to detail and cleanliness. The overall park was beautiful besides the fact of frequent bad storms and a terrible mosquito infestation. Thankfully, I was just a visitor of a family member and was only there a few hours.

It was a small place and the water was not that inviting.
