We stayed here this past weekend. We had a great time. The campground has many amenities and activities to keep the family busy. They have a heated pool which my daughter enjoyed; a fishing pond for the husband, and a huge dog park for our dogs to run free and play. Dog park had balls to play catch, and a spot for water. This campground has the best bathrooms I’ve ever seen, showers are large and clean! Loved the cafe for ordering food when we didn’t feel like cooking. The walk to the river down the nature trail was gorgeous. Everyone there was super friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that our campsite was out in the open and not very private; but you can choose your own campsite when you make your reservations. So, we scoped out the grounds so that we can pick a more desired site for next time. I also recommend booking a golf cart with your reservation. We made the mistake of waiting and since it was a busy weekend, there were none available. We will definitely be back. If you want an affordable campground with all the bells and whistles; this is your place. Highly recommend!
May 21, 2025 · Amanda ReedThis is our second year of coming to Trout Run. We love the sites and the area is clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The issue we have that the other campers do not respect other campers sites. We constantly saw people cutting through other people's sites and when we told people not to cut through our sites they just said everyone does it and kept walk through. That and the under 16 kids driving golf carts around the campground with no adults in the cart. We do not feel safe walking around while one of them almost hit us today when we were on a walk and he was not paying attention to where he was going. I feel staff needs to be aware of this to prevent any problems in the future.
Aug 10, 2025 · Laroy BurgessWe love this place it’s awesome here, only problem was the bees were a bother last year and they were a terrible problem this year, in less than 24 hours 3 people were stung. They weren’t even bees they were wasps. I’m allergic so I’m glad I didn’t get stung but my son, nephew and sister did. Maybe just putting bee and wasp traps attached to the cabins can help. Coming back next year and hope we won’t run into them! I love this place regardless, this really is a resort here!

Aug 12, 2025 · Dora CainTrout Run Campground entered into a prepaid service agreement with us, which we honored fully by performing multiple on-site service visits. After the agreement's balance was exhausted, we continued to provide service in good faith, with the understanding that payment would follow. Each service was accompanied by an invoice reflecting the remaining balance and/or charges incurred. Over more than a year, we sent regular statements, past due notices, and emails notifying your team of the outstanding balance and applicable late fees—clearly outlined in the terms provided on each invoice. Unfortunately, we did not receive any response or payment, which ultimately led to the account being placed with a collections agency. We are always willing to review and clarify any account history. If you or your team would like to go over the documentation again, we are happy to assist directly.
