Went out there to fish but the boat ramps and all the little side banks have DOZENS of water moccasins! The campsite 🏕️ area looks very clean and well taken care of. Do NOT recommend to bank fish this area. We left immediately after seeing 8+ snakes in one area. Will probably be back to drop a boat in and give this area another shot. With that many snakes in the neighborhood I would recommend some snake boots for sure! Give this 2 stars because of the camping area was clean but the rest I didn’t want to even go look due to the amount of snakes in the area.

Stayed 2 nights in our Casita travel trailer on the way from NY to TX for rest. Good choice! Roy and his wife Debbie were gracious hosts, good information, kept an eye on all in the park especially late afternoon into the evening by driving thru. Neighbors quiet, friendly, bathrooms decent enough to use. Great to be on the water, especially sunsets. Sites are level, some of the picnic benches have pavilions over them. Also have grill and fire pit near. Next to new children's playground, plenty of space to walk, bicycle within park. There was a wedding in the park and they saw we were from New York and sent us food as a lively way to show southern hospitality. A big thank you!

Because it was a last minute booking I wasn’t fortunate to get one of the spots by the water with a view as there were many other campers when I stayed but it was still spacious, comfortable and I felt safe.

This is a nice place to bring your R.V., walk around, and even go motorboating on the Arkansas River. We played basketball here before and it was nice.
