Introduction / Overview: Your Unforgettable Pennsylvania Mountain Escape
For local Pennsylvanians seeking a genuine, breathtaking, and community-focused outdoor experience, look no further than 100 Mile View Camping. Nestled on a magnificent property high above the historic town of Jim Thorpe, this campground lives up to its name, offering spectacular 100-mile east-to-west panoramic views across the picturesque rolling hills and forested landscapes of the Poconos. It's an elevated camping experience, both literally and figuratively, that sets it apart from typical crowded resorts.
This is not a massive, amenity-heavy commercial park, but rather a family-run labor of love, developed over 35 years to share the natural beauty of the region. The campground’s mission, championed by the owners, is to provide a quiet, private, and exceptionally scenic base camp for outdoor enthusiasts. Customer testimonials repeatedly highlight the incredible natural scenery—from "Beautiful sunrises, amazing sunsets" to a "moonlit star filled sky"—affirming its status as a premier location for connecting with nature in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Whether you are a seasoned RVer, a tent camper, or an overlander, 100 Mile View Camping offers a tranquil sanctuary just minutes from the vibrant culture and exhilarating adventure sports of Jim Thorpe.
The community is pet-friendly and the owners, Jake and his wife, are frequently praised for their "friendly and helpful" nature and dedication to maintaining a beautiful and accommodating property, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for. This combination of spectacular natural features and warm, personal hospitality makes 100 Mile View Camping an unforgettable destination for a long weekend or an extended Pennsylvania getaway.

My husband and I recently stayed for a long weekend for the first time. Jake was so friendly and helpful in providing us with the right site for our needs. Both he and his wife are the sweetest people. The views here are nothing short of incredible. Beautiful sunrises, amazing sunsets and star gazing opportunities. Close to so many nearby attractions and restaurants. It is very quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning in a few weeks for the fall foliage.
Sep 06, 2025 · Melanie SandtBest spot to go if you want to have an unforgettable camping experience. It’s quiet, it’s private and spacious with the best view all at the comfort of your campsite with the sun rise, the sunset and the moonlit star filled sky to keep you company. If you want to impress your family friends and loved ones Come here!! All made possible by the owner of the establishment Jake. Such a wonderful person ready to accommodate you along side with his wife who love taking care of their property and their guest to facilitate a beautiful experience. Sep 03, 2025 · H FGreat campground! Peaceful and well-maintained with plenty of sites. If you prefer sites with privacy, you can choose sites further away from the entrance, they have more trees shades and sites are well spaced out. Perfect spot to relax, hike, and enjoy nature. They have a Porta-Potty placed all around the campgrounds for easy access to all sites. Would definitely come back again.
Sep 03, 2025 · Akshay KrishnaLocation and views were amazing. That will bring us back. What will keep us reconsidering is the large party group that kept us up until 2am with club music+generator+50 screaming kids beeping car horns... and they were frequently walking very close to our campsite, taking pictures...we also had one person with two kids randomly just come right up to our campfire at our site because they wanted to see the "bonfire". There just wasn't any clear respect for privacy. Edit: the wine I bought from the stand here blew up in my kitchen and was filled with bacteria. Literally brought it home and placed in on the counter and it exploded all over our kitchen staining everything. Found tons of kombucha like bacteria growths.
Sep 13, 2025 · Rick CooperVery nice spot. View was great, sites were tidy, and met some awesome people. Owner also came by after hours to check on everyone and supply extra firewood to those who needed it. Only gripe is that it was a little pricey as a solo camper, but it's also fairly average for the area so what can you do? 5⭐
