Northside Heights is not just a collection of homes; it’s a community. It forms a distinct subdivision within Lehighton, often appearing in local real estate listings and neighborhood reports. For locals in Carbon County and the surrounding areas—including residents of Allentown, Bethlehem, and Scranton looking for a quieter, more economical setting—Northside Heights provides a residential choice that balances proximity to local amenities with a suburban or semi-rural feel.
Introduction / Overview
Northside Heights Mobile Home Park is a residential manufactured housing community situated in Lehighton, a borough in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. It serves as a dedicated residential area where residents own their mobile or manufactured homes and lease the land (lot rent). This type of housing community is integral to providing diverse and manageable housing options for local Pennsylvanians. Lehighton itself is rich in heritage, once a notable railroad town, and is currently experiencing growth while maintaining a close-knit, community-oriented atmosphere. Northside Heights is positioned within the Lehighton Area School District, an important consideration for families with school-age children. The community contributes to the local flavor of the area, offering a more tranquil setting compared to the densely populated urban centers of the Lehigh Valley, while still maintaining reasonable access to major routes and employment centers. The community is generally categorized as an 'all-age' community, meaning it is not restricted to senior living, making it suitable for a wide range of local individuals and families looking for a permanent residential location.

Services Offered
While a mobile home park’s primary service is providing the leased lot for a manufactured home, the monthly lot rent typically covers a suite of essential services that contribute to the overall operation and maintenance of the community. Based on standard mobile home park operations in the Lehighton area and general public information, these services often include:
Ground Lease (Lot Rental): Providing a secure, defined parcel of land for the homeowner’s manufactured residence.
Community Infrastructure Maintenance: This generally encompasses the upkeep of the park’s internal roads, common area lighting, and storm drainage systems, though the level of road repair (as noted in public feedback) may be a point of discussion for residents.
Utility Access and Connection: Facilitating connections to major utility services, including water, sewer (often a connection to public sanitary sewage disposal facilities as required by local ordinance), and electrical hookups. Note that residents are typically responsible for their own home utility usage bills.
Trash and Waste Removal: Provision of centralized or curbside services for garbage and recycling collection.
On-Site Management/Administrative Services: Operating an office for lot rent payments, maintenance requests, lease and community rule enforcement, and general administrative inquiries.
Community Standards Enforcement: Ensuring all residents comply with the established community rules and regulations (covering aspects like exterior maintenance, pet policies, and parking) to maintain a consistent environment.

The features and highlights of Northside Heights are tied to its residential nature and its location within the greater Lehighton area, making it an appealing option for local Pennsylvania residents.

As with any housing decision, prospective residents are encouraged to perform due diligence, specifically inquiring about the current lot rent, the specifics of included maintenance (such as road repair schedules, which have been a point of past resident concern), and the strict enforcement of community rules. The manufactured housing lifestyle is unique; it requires residents to understand that they are responsible for their home while the park management oversees the land and common areas. For a local looking for a stable, permanent residential base in a scenic, well-connected part of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Northside Heights presents an established option worth exploring. It allows residents to put down roots and participate in the wider Lehighton community, all within a focused residential environment designed for manufactured home living.

Here’s a good one our Christmas decorations are frozen in the ground cause of the winter weather we have been having and now I received a call from the office saying if we don’t put them away soon we will get a violation notice just when you thought you heard everything there’s always a first
Feb 18, 2025 · Michele GoffredoBambi the office manager is lazy and is either late coming into work or leaving early. She is more concerned about the farmers market she is involved with in Lehighton on Saturdays. I have been living here for 4 1/2 years and nothing gets fixed. Streets and curbs are in need of repair. They expect you to remove and replace dead trees on your lot that we are now paying $410.00 per month for lot rent as of July 2018. Our lot rent has gone from $360.00 to $410.00 per month since we moved here in 2014 and we have to pay $5.00 per month for our dog. We don't own the property and they expect us to put equity into their land. Paving equipment sitting next to your house for almost two years, that is the wonderful view I have sitting in my back yard. Repeated requests to have paving machine moved have been ignored. Lot rent keeps going up by about $10.00 per year and no improvements ever done. If I could give zero stars I would.

Aug 04, 2022 · Denise SmithWhen the driveways get fixed and completed as promised by Samantha in the office then my review will change, other then that they have Gaul raising the price whenever they feel like it.
Oct 15, 2023 · zach goffredoThis is a nice place, but see it going downhill. They don’t seem to be as strict about rules and people that are moving in as they were in past. I hope this isn’t a trend for the future.
