However, the value offered by 1855 Campground can be seen in several ways that might be considered an inherent "special offer" for visitors:

  • Generous Inclusions: Customer reviews indicate a high level of generosity from the owner. For instance, "the first bundle of wood provided" for campfires is a thoughtful inclusion that adds value and convenience, saving campers the hassle and cost of bringing or purchasing firewood. This private access to natural amenities is a distinct advantage.

  • Affordable Pricing (Implied Value): While specific prices aren't always explicitly detailed in general descriptions, independent campgrounds often aim to provide competitive and affordable rates. The emphasis on nature and a less commercialized experience often means that the value derived from the peaceful, well-maintained environment outweighs a reliance on constant discounts.

I've stayed in this amazing campsite with a couple of friends in a warm October 2024, and we had a blast! The property even has a small lake where you can swim and chill. Creeks run through and around the property. There are several nice pitches to choose from all with available shade for morning sleep-in. The grass was mown at the pitches. The owner was helpful and very interesting to talk to! Hiking paths are available, and several national parks are close-by - we enjoyed our longer stay at 1855 Campground a lot! We'll come back again in the summer, when the water is warmer so we can swim!

Had a great time at this campground. It's spacious and secluded, we stayed at site 6. You are provided plenty of firewood and Bill was a great host. He brought our stuff to and from the campsite with his tractor. It's conveniently near the state parks like Johnson's Shut-Ins and Elefant Rock. Would def come back.
