🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 One of Our Favorite Places on Earth Twin River Landing in Lesterville, MO We’ve been coming to Twin River Landing for years now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best camping spots we’ve ever experienced. It’s become a tradition we look forward to every single year and it never disappoints. The campsite itself is beautiful, clean, and perfectly situated right on the river, which makes it super easy to enjoy the water even if you don’t go on a full float trip. Just bring your own float or tube, walk right down, and hop in it’s that simple. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and welcoming. Whether you’re camping with friends or family, it feels like home. The staff is absolutely amazing some of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. They’re always helpful, laid-back, and just good-hearted folks who truly care about their guests. Over the years, we’ve grown to absolutely love them. We usually start our weekend by stopping at Johnson’s Shut-Ins on Friday morning before check-in, then head to Twin River Landing to set up our tents. From that point on, it’s just peace, laughter, great company, and nature at its best. There’s something so magical about this place from the peaceful river to the laid-back campground vibes. If you’re looking for a fun, affordable getaway with beautiful scenery and amazing people, this is the place. Twin River Landing holds a special place in our hearts, and I truly hope more people get the chance to experience the joy it brings. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Twin River Landing, for always making us feel welcome. 💚 I was having so much fun I literally only have 3 photos from the whole Weekend 💚💚💚
Not the best place to camp or float. There is 10 times better places. Yes there is good reviews, but I’d really suggest reading mine. First, the cost of my whole camping trip was unnecessary big. Camping SHOULD not cost over 200$. Camping is meant to be cheap and away from city life and so on. Not a luxury. First it was okay, but come to find out I had to pay to FLOAT down a river that’s not even owned by this company, I should not have to pay 60$ to float, using my OWN floats too. No one should have to pay that much to float down a river, that wasn’t even made by them, especially when I’m already paying 3 times as much for a campsite. Absolutely absurd. Another note, campsite needs to be spayed to help reduce ticks and such. I kid you not, the entire time I was too busy picking off ticks. I know it wasn’t sprayed. I know a few intakes and requirements for campsites, and they didn’t spray. You need to spray to prevent Lyme disease. Another note, the driveway isn’t okay. It’s just big rocks. The showers are poor. The last thing I’m mentioning this campsite is really just a party place. Not family friendly whatsoever. The minute we got there, our neighbors I guess I should say, we’re all drunk and getting high. Then we had about 6 cars pull up to the campsite beside us. The second they got our they started to blast trashy music and so on. Not the owners fault, but from my understanding and the amount of broken bottles, trash, alcohol cans, vapes, and so on. It’s definitely a place for young adults to get wasted, and they don’t care. Another note, as we floating down the river that we payed 60$ with no rentals, wasn’t worth it. The river has these stopping points for you to hang out and relax, it was all trash and party central. AGAIN it’s not the owners fault on this one, but black river is not the place to float for family, just for young adults to be dumb. Every small stopping point wasn’t safe. That’s thing I’m saying, as we we floating, these chicks were topless and these dudes were yelling at females to take theirs tops off. It’s whatever do what you want, but still disgusting. Simply just a party river. If partying is your vibe and spending lots of money is your vibe too. Go for it! But if not, then don’t. :)
We had a fantastic time at Twin Rivers Landing. The check in process was smooth and the staff were all very friendly. The general store had a large variety of options for purchase. The camp sites were large, spacious and clean. The access to the river is very easy and the beach area is awesome with so much room on both sides of the bank. It is a very family oriented campground which was great. Highly recommend this campground and we will definitely be going back.
We had an awesome time here Labor Day weekend. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating! We rented the mini cat tube for our float and it was amazing! It was so much fun and such a comfortable float. It was like floating in a recliner! You have enough room to put a dry bag up on top of the tube or you can pull a floating cooler behind if you have one. The staff was so helpful explaining how to get in and out and use it which was a breeze. We definitely enjoyed trying the mini cat tubes! The campsite has plenty of shade and great beach access for just hanging out in the water. We will definitely come back. Thank you for making our camping and floating experience so memorable!
Ultimately the location and amenities were great this past weekend. Nice shaded camp sites and a beautiful property. However with that I suppose you get the bad stuff to go with it. Checked in at the main office with my group for our camping and floating for the weekend. Little did we know that come the next morning as we are standing on the beach waiting to put in you need a “ticket” for your raft. Wasn’t the friendliest bunch that was getting the rafts setup either. Our group easily had 30 people getting into the water that day that all paid and had confirmation emails for purchasing their rafts but the day of our float there’s no easy way to go about getting your raft. After about 30 minutes of standing around and getting a phone call back to our campsite that was on the other side of the office we ended up finally able to get on our raft. Upon coming back from our float and at night fall it’s like the camp security guard was just lurking in the woods waiting to come at our group. We may have been a little loud but that is specifically why we wanted an entire end away from everything to ourselves. As we were enjoying some music right at 11pm the camp security guard pops back up and says gotta turn the hardly turned up music off. Mean while the conversations that were being had were much louder than the music. Ultimately our group has already decided we won’t be returning and as the security guard said “we don’t care if you come back or not” that was daily noted.
