Husband and i stayed 2 nights in early May 2025 in a car/tent setup. Pros: Easy to book on Hipcamp; hot showers; good wifi; affordable ($25/night for tent site with power); good location close to Pilot Mtn; abundance of song birds; little stream; hand soap and hand air dryer provided in bathrooms (see cons for more); good signage for the campground upon leaving the main road; there was a little trail on site but we did not use it so don't know how good it was or not; kids playground looked good; other campers (many long term) were friendly; good nighttime lighting Cons: Unlevel tent sites (mounds, dips, and slopes); tall fire barrels (bad for sitting round the fire to toast marshmallows or other camp cooking but we were told we were allowed to build a small fire on the ground); noisy roosters, dogs, and RV AC units; smelly men's room; no convenient trash cans (just dumpsters at the entrance and small bathroom bins); no recycling; no slop sink area to wash dishes; inaccessible water spigots at tent sites (these are in a buried bucket in the ground and you need to hook a hose up to it to get water); trash in stream (we removed a walmart bag that looked like it had been there for some time); no camp store; no host presence (notified host via hipcamp of an issue in the bathroom on first night [hand dryer falling off wall] and although acknowledged in app it was not resolved before we left 2 days later); hand soap in men's room empty our entire stay; curtains on toilet stalls weren't bad in concept but they were soiled; no cell service (TMobile) so unable to check in on arrival (had to drive up the hill and call the number for making reservations on the sign); no posted instructions for check-in at the campground; smoking posted as not allowed in bathroom but not enforced (the women's room stunk our second morning and butts on ground outside); no shelf in shower for soap/razor; available tent sites were inconsistent (some with picnic tables, some without; some with fire barrels, some without; electric sockets available or used by wifi extenders) Overall: would stay there again, but not seek it out if other options are available

Great campground! Very sad to be leaving. It’s a smaller campground but we like that about it. Everyone is so friendly and the elements are so beautiful. The creek that runs through the campground is my favorite part. Even saw some crawfish in it! This campground is kid and pet friendly. My daughter was able to ride her bike throughout the campground along with the other kids that live there. This campground has a decent bathhouse and also has laundry facilities. The laundry facilities are about a 3/10. The owner is super nice and accommodating. Would definitely come back to this campground in the future! Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the owner set up a campground gathering for Halloween. Everyone had candy for the kids and they also brought a side dish while the owner supplied and cooked all of the camper’s hamburgers and hotdogs. It was a really fun time and a great way to get the campground to come together. The kids loved it!

This campground is awesome. The owner is always willing to lend a helping hand and stays on top of park maintenance. It is a great place to relax for a weekend or to stay awhile and raise your kids. We love staying here. It really is a great family setting with wonderful views. The drive to and from is gorgeous. Plus the pond and river gives everyone something to do. Terrific fishing spot!
