Promotions or Special Offers

While Aunt's Creek Campground, being a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) managed site, doesn't typically run its own unique, site-specific promotional campaigns, there are several established discount programs and booking strategies that local Missouri residents can leverage to make their camping experience more affordable. These generally apply across federal recreation sites.

Common types of promotions and discounts that Missourians might find applicable to a stay at Aunt's Creek Campground include:

  • Federal Recreation Passes: Individuals holding an America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Senior Pass or Access Pass are often eligible for a 50% discount on standard amenity fees, including camping. This is a significant benefit for eligible Missouri residents who frequently visit federal recreation areas. Information on these passes can be found on government recreation websites.

  • Off-Peak Season and Weekday Rates: Camping during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall) or on weekdays (Monday through Thursday nights) typically results in lower nightly rates compared to the bustling peak summer weekends. Aunt's Creek Campground is generally open from early May to mid-September, offering opportunities to visit during less crowded and potentially more affordable times. Some private RV parks with a similar name in the area might also offer Passport America discounts, which provide 50% off nightly rates, often with specific blackout dates or limitations (e.g., Sunday through Thursday only during peak season). It's crucial to verify which campground you are booking with if pursuing such discounts.

  • Extended Stay Discounts: While not always explicitly promoted for every single site, some campgrounds, particularly for longer durations like weekly or monthly stays, might offer slightly reduced per-night rates. It's always a good practice to inquire about such possibilities directly when making your reservation.

  • Group Site Reservations: Aunt's Creek offers a large reservable group picnic shelter, and sometimes group site bookings for multiple families might offer slight per-site savings compared to individual bookings, especially if booked well in advance. Check specific policies on Recreation.gov.

  • Check Online Booking Platforms: The primary booking platform for Aunt's Creek Campground (managed by USACE) is Recreation.gov. While not always "promotions" in the traditional sense, this site provides transparent pricing, availability calendars, and any applicable federal discounts. Nice campground, half of the sites are electric only, others have electric and water. There's a few basic sites as well. A lot of the sites seem turned the wrong way (away from the lake). Some of the sites are very narrow. We stayed in site 39 and it's good sized, but it's right above a large boat ramp so it's not quiet during boating season. It's clean throughout the campground. There's a small playground and a swim area. There are two large boat ramps and two courtesy docks. Keep in mind, those docks are for the loading and unloading of passengers. They are not for tying your boat up for extended periods of time. The road, OO, down to the campground is curvy with a slow descent down to the lake area.

Good place to spend time with church and family. Even in season time it is not big amount of people. Great place for swim. It is lifeguard jackets here. Quite nature and no shop and cafe to have some food. I think it will be good to have some service and drinks at this nice place.

Great time but the ranger could use some communication classes. Not very nice. Not my first time camping. I grew up from little and he addressed me like I knew nothing and wouldn't even let me explain I'm disabled. Even though I have the camping pass that I am.
