Customer Reviews
Called spoke to a gentleman who while I was getting payment ready hung up on me. Than I call back and told by a lady they don't do reservations on Friday. I had problems in the pass with this too. Definitely thought it would be better by now.
Went to River View for the first time for Labor Day weekend this year. Overall it was great! The location was lovely, the bathrooms and showers were clean, the store was very well stocked, there were dumpsters easily accessible. Check in was easy and all trips to the store went well. The river trip was great; the river was clean and wide and there wasn’t much debris like a bunch of gross fallen trees and stuff to hit. Our only complaints were that we had to buy wood from the campground and we spent the ENTIRE weekend trying so hard to get it to light and it just smoked. Like smoked so bad I had to go home and shower, rinse out my eyes (which I also did with a water bottle at the site a few times), and wash everything I brought. I’ve camped a lot and that was the smokiest fire I have ever encountered because the wood was wet all the way through. We spent a lot of extra money on fire starter stuff the entire weekend but the only time we ever had one at all was when our neighbor took pity and gave us some of their wood (which was not from the campground). It was extremely frustrating. Plus the fire pit itself was wonky. Very narrow and the wood they gave us was very long it didn’t even fit. I also spent months emailing them ahead of time to coordinate the trip and that was hard because every single time I asked anything, they would answer part of a question or just one of a few and I had to email them again and again and again to re-ask the same questions they could’ve just answered in the first place, which was also incredibly annoying. We had a lovely time otherwise; we even had really rowdy neighbors way late at night and drove to the front for assistance and the security guard was so helpful and took us seriously. Stopped at the bathroom on the way back and when we got back from even that short trip, the music was off. We would go back for sure (but we would probably sneak in our own wood tbh sorry).
Plenty of fun for all to enjoy, love watching them drop off our weeks supply of firewood
We only rented Kayaks, we didn't camp here. Facilities seemed well maintained, staff was friendly and the price was good.
Loved the campsites but not the push button showers. Having a ton of long hair, I hated that I had to keep pushing the button every 20 seconds for water. It took forever to rinse out my shampoo. But overall, nice place and we would camp here again!!
