Customer Reviews
WOW. I’ll start by listing the decent parts of this park -river access -quiet Thankfully we were with our friends and are able to make the best of each situation but this park is a mess. The management doesn’t follow the handbook and also said “you don’t even have the freedom of speech here” (have it on video). You are also prohibited from bringing any sort of toys into the pool area (balls, little Barbie’s, noodles). We were also told to put our Segway go-kart away because it’s classified as an ATV! LOL I’d really like to see that thing go through sand, meanwhile it’s ok for SxS’s to roll around there. My favorite part was the manager taunting my kids. The store was closed, he then proceeded to ask my kids if they want ice cream followed by a “too bad” (disgusting on the managers behalf). Whoever purchases this, hopefully you can do better than Outdoor Adventure. It’s clear that this place isn’t making them enough money but no effort is being made to change that.
I love the OA resorts! The sites are always nice and the bathrooms and showers are kept clean. Sad to see it's up for sale. Been coming since I was a kid!
Experience was okay the park was very nice and this one employee was not very nice to us and had lied to us. He was watching us weirdly and it annoyed us. Other than this we had a great time might come back next year.
There are far more accepting places near by! I don’t even know where to begin, the lady that works in the front office might actually be one of the most passive aggressive individuals I have ever talked to in my life. Some of my friends and I decided to take a trip Friday-Sunday staying at this camp ground, something we were looking forward to for over a month now. We are all in our mid twenties, from the very get go they made sure to let us know we weren’t welcome. At 10pm Friday night they told us our music was too loud and to shut it off… come to find out they went to the campsites around us asking other campers if we specifically were being too loud, of which the other campers confirmed they were confused on why they were targeting us. We took a tubing trip today (Saturday) and one of our friends got a tube that was damaged but the bus drove away before we could tell them. They proceeded to charge us $20 for a tube they fixed in a matter of seconds. Not to mention you have to use their hose to wash off your tube after your trip! Yeah that’s not included in the money you’re spending already! They also upped their prices yet you must take your own trash to their dumpsters and if you choose to leave any trash on the site there’s a fine. I understand not everyone in their mid twenties behaves according to adult standards, however we were more than respectful towards the staff, until we were targeted primarily for our age. We even packed up and left a day early! We just came to the conclusion it wasn’t worth staying somewhere you felt uncomfortable although we payed for two nights. Spend your money at the nearby campgrounds! Whites is awesome! We will never be camping here again and definitely won’t recommend.
I dislike to write bad reviews, but people need a heads up before they waste their time taking their family for a fun camping trip. Place was over crowded, very little parking and a handful of the staff were rude. We got charged for two tubes that had slow leaks in them when all we did is rent a cooler. I and so many other people at the camp site had these kinds of issues. The staff at the store were the rudest. This place is not a family type place to take kids. Several camp sites had fights that broke out with screaming and foul language. Security didn't show up for 30 minutes and very little was done. Hopefully they clean up the place and get friendly staff.
