Beautiful location! we stayed in the barn and as a...young couple... it was not the BEST choice with a cramped loft bed, but the place was super cute! we weren't in much because we had a packed agenda, but it was close to the bath house, which was very clean! and had a cute porch! no chairs by the fire ring though.

Great campground! Been a dry summer, so the lake wasn't as visible as usual, but everything was great. Clean bathrooms, little older but not bad. Had a couple repairs needed but nothing that made for any trouble. Clean campsites, we had a small camper trailer and had plenty of room.

We decided to rent one of the cabins here at Summersville Lake Retreat and so happy we did! The cabin itself is beautiful and very clean. Perfect size for our family of four. The campground is really well kept and has an incredible view of the lake through the hills and trees. Campground owners are friendly and we had everything we needed. Check-in was a breeze! It’s close to all the hiking and rec activities in the area. Next time we come down we’ll definitely be back!
