As Beaumont Scout Reservation is a private property operated by the Greater St. Louis Area Council, its "promotions" often come in the form of program offerings, membership benefits, and specific event pricing rather than typical commercial discounts. While direct financial "sales" are not common, the value provided through its programs is substantial. Here's what local users can generally expect:
- Scouting Program Value: The primary "offer" is the comprehensive range of scouting programs available through membership with the Boy Scouts of America and the Greater St. Louis Area Council. This includes access to merit badge programs, leadership training, and various outdoor skills instruction.
- Camperships/Financial Aid: For summer camps and other high-cost programs, the Council often provides "camperships" (scholarships) or financial assistance to ensure that all youth, regardless of financial background, can participate. This is a significant "special offer" for many families.
- Group Booking Rates: Scout units (packs, troops, crews) typically pay per-person or per-unit rates for camping and facility use, which are often structured to be cost-effective for groups.
- Seasonal Program Packages: Specific programs might be offered seasonally (e.g., winter camping weekends, spring camporees) with bundled activities and accommodations at a set price.
- Volunteer Opportunities: While not a discount, the ability for adults to volunteer and participate in the camp's operations can significantly reduce personal costs associated with their children's attendance, making the overall experience more accessible.
- Facility Rental: Certain areas or facilities within the reservation might be available for rent by non-scouting groups for educational or recreational purposes, with specific pricing available upon inquiry.
To inquire about program costs, membership benefits, or any specific event pricing, local Missouri residents are encouraged to contact the Greater St. Louis Area Council directly via phone or their official website. Customer Reviews
Nice camp operated by the Greater St. Louis Area Council. Great spot for kids to learn about nature, ride horses, and go camping. Note that this private property and a BSA permit to enter is required.
My son enjoyed the day with his scout pack meeting older scouts. The weather was cold but the spot is gorgeous and feels like you are more remote than 20m away from home. My son always enjoys himself when we’re there- partly for the surroundings and partly for the scout leaders who do an amazing job teaching the kids helpful skills.
I loved camping there and Went backpacking can’t wait to go back
Disgusting 🤮. I know there are out houses at the campsites. But they didn't even spray them down before the biggest event of the year, Adventure Summit. Literal shit was on the fronts of the toilets all dried up. Everyone uses the same out houses. Boys, girls, and leaders need to be using separate restrooms.
Beaumont is a great, huge, property that is wonderfully close to St. Louis. The main road is 2.5 miles long! Note: Beaumont is private property for use only by Scouting programs. Our scout troop has camped here several times a year. We have used the large camporee sites as well as the cabins in winter. We have always enjoyed it rain or shine or snow!
