Customer Reviews
This was a beautiful campground. I like how it has five separate campgrounds and none of them are very large. It makes for a more natural and cozy atmosphere and feeling. Also of course the rest of the state park is beautiful as well. And if you want fishing and amazing spot to go. Edit: update after going again during the winter. We stayed in campground one because it is the only one available. We were able to make reservations online before arriving. One bad thing about campground. One is there is only one toilet. Well that was not a problem when we went because there was only four campers total. I imagine it would be a problem during the regular season and there would be a line quite often.
If you like fly fishing, this is the place for you! Catch & release events, cabins, small orderly RV campground with full hookups and a heated bathroom. Many wonderful fishing spots. I stayed here one night before launching for a float on the Niangua River. The RV site was quiet, bathroom and shower clean and warm. We were allowed to park our cars near the boat ramp while we did a 3 day float, taking out at Leadmine. We chose to camp on gravel bars but there are private campgrounds down river that you should consider.
Nice campgrounds quiet time in one of the best parks in our state we love Bennett spring state park! Took our parents on their 50th wedding Anniversary! And this is our 35th year coming to the park
We love this park. So peaceful and beautiful.
Was really suprised with only 1 shower per area. But camp site was great and very friendly people
