As a campground managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and accessible via Recreation.gov, Bluff View Campground typically does not offer traditional commercial "promotions" in the way a private business might. However, there are significant value propositions and inherent "offers" that make it highly appealing:
- Affordable Camping Rates: Camping fees are generally very reasonable, offering excellent value for access to prime lakeside locations with numerous amenities like electric and water hookups, hot showers, and flush toilets. Fees can range from approximately $14 to $50 per night depending on the site type.
- Federal Recreational Pass Discounts: Holders of valid federal recreational passes, such as the America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass (including Senior and Access Passes), are often eligible for discounts on camping fees, typically 50% off the standard rate. This provides substantial savings for eligible individuals.
- Free Off-Season Camping: A significant "special offer" noted by a reviewer is the availability of FREE camping in sections C & D during the off-season (mid-September to mid-May) for up to two weeks per month. While utilities are off and the shower house is closed, open restrooms are still available, and a shower can be accessed at the nearby River Road location at no cost. This is an incredible opportunity for budget-conscious or more primitive campers.
- Easy Online Reservations: The ability to easily make reservations online through Recreation.gov (reservable typically mid-May to mid-September) ensures campers can secure their preferred spot, especially during peak season, providing peace of mind and convenience.
- Value-Added Amenities: The inclusion of clean shower houses, flush toilets, sheltered picnic tables, and a playground at the standard fee provides considerable value, enhancing the overall camping experience without additional charges.
For the most accurate and current information on fees, availability, specific off-season policies, and any potential changes, it is always recommended to check the official Recreation.gov website for Bluff View Campground or contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office for Clearwater Lake directly.

Customer Reviews
Our group camped in campground B. The spots closest to the entrance are without shade. We were in a site with shade. Absolutely loved our spot. Shade, level, clean. All picnic tables have a nice shelter built over them. We saw lots of wildlife: deer, raccoons, and even got to watch an owl.The shower house was clean, the children in our group loved feeding the carp by bottle at the boat dock, and those that went, loved the beach. The morning view was breathtaking. Note that campground A has no shade, but spots are closer to the water with a beautiful view and are level. Campground C is the older part of the campground and full of shade. Wouldn't hesitate to go back, as long as I could get a shaded spot. Campground A also has a very nice play area for the kids. Lots of paved roads for bike riding.
This is a great place to disconnect from busy and reconnect with nature. Camping season is mid May to mid September, but you can still camp for FREE off season, in the C & D sections, for up to two weeks per month (with no utilities, no shower house, but there are open restrooms available.. and you can access a shower at the river road location for no cost). Beautiful views of the lake and a great place to bird and deer watch.
Definitely a wow factor here. Had the view of the lake and the mountains in front of us as we exited our tent. We had the C section. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean beach and areas. So nice to have water on our campsite. Quiet and peaceful.
Our happy place. Great view of the bluffs. Dave at the marina is super helpful.
Great camping on Clearwater Lake. Nice and clean campsites. Close to the swimming area and marina
