Camp Greenbird, located just outside the charming town of Bryson City, offers a distinctive camping experience primarily catering to extended stays for self-contained RVs. Formerly known as Hide Away Campground, Camp Greenbird has evolved to focus on providing a peaceful and convenient environment for those looking to settle in for a while in the heart of Western North Carolina.

The emphasis here is on providing essential comforts and a sense of community for those making Bryson City their temporary home.
It's always wise to manage expectations based on recent feedback. Prospective visitors, particularly those with self-contained RVs, are encouraged to consider its current offerings, which prioritize utility and a sense of quiet community for longer visits.

Comparing it to the campground it was just 3 years ago, it’s went down hill, it’s look jankier; they’ve let the remote tenting become treacherous and inaccessible. I walked into the office pavilion area and was met with 2 printer pages full of rules. HOA without the suburbs?? Crazy work. This place is nothing like what Hideaway used to be and that’s really sad. There’s better campgrounds that have much better amenities as well.
