North Carolina is renowned for its diverse landscapes, from the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains to the serene Outer Banks, and right in the heart of it all lies a hub of activity in the Charlotte area. Camping World Racing Resort is perfectly positioned to allow you to experience both the high-octane thrill of racing events and the peaceful relaxation of a well-maintained RV park. It’s more than just a place to park your RV; it’s a community where fellow travelers and racing fans gather, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and secure.
We understand that choosing an RV park involves considering many factors, from location and amenities to cleanliness and staff friendliness. Camping World Racing Resort consistently earns high marks in these areas, making it a standout option in the Tar Heel State. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway around a major NASCAR event, exploring the local attractions of Concord and Charlotte, or simply seeking a comfortable overnight stop, this overview aims to provide you with all the essential information to help you plan your next adventure at Camping World Racing Resort.
Camping World Racing Resort boasts an unbeatable address for racing fans and general travelers alike: 6600 Bruton Smith Blvd, Concord, NC 28027, USA. This prime location is directly adjacent to the iconic Charlotte Motor Speedway, making it the absolute ideal spot for anyone attending NASCAR races, drag racing events, or other spectacles at the track. Imagine rolling out of your RV and being just steps away from the roar of the engines and the thrill of the race – it’s an experience unparalleled for motorsports enthusiasts in North Carolina.
Beyond the immediate proximity to the Speedway, the park's location offers excellent accessibility to a vast array of attractions and amenities in Concord and the greater Charlotte metropolitan area. Being able to park your RV just steps away from the action eliminates the stress of traffic and parking on race days, making for a much more enjoyable and immersive experience. This direct access to major events is a unique selling point that few other RV parks in the state can match.

The added conveniences like the Amazon locker and the large fenced dog park further enhance the user experience, catering to the practical needs of North Carolina campers and their pets.
Furthermore, the general atmosphere and staff contribute to a welcoming environment. This is important for North Carolinians who value hospitality and safety in their travel experiences. Even during non-event times, the park's ability to offer a "peaceful and quiet" setting makes it versatile for different types of stays, whether you're there for the race or just a relaxing getaway.
Finally, its convenient location in Concord means that beyond the racing, guests have easy access to local restaurants, shopping (like Concord Mills), and other regional attractions in the Charlotte metropolitan area. This blend of specialized event access with general local convenience makes Camping World Racing Resort an ideal choice for North Carolina residents looking for a top-tier RV park experience that caters to both their passions and practical needs.
Customer Reviews
When I plan my weekends around racing, there's no reason to look for accommodations elsewhere. There's no worries about being a solo female camper, and the staff at the entrance is always personable and welcoming. I come out 5x a year, and would do more if there were more racing events. The crews that maintain the showers/restrooms are always working to keep it clean for us. There's even an Amazon locker in site in case you forgot something at home (which I've done far too often).
We've stayed here twice during non-event times. I would imagine it gets busy for a major race. The sites are level, gravel & well-maintained. The interior roads are asphalt. The office staff is very friendly and effective. The picnic pavilion and pickleball courts behind the office are nice amenities, as is the large fenced dog park. If your stay includes visiting downtown Charlotte, be prepared for crazy traffic (and drivers) much of the day. It could take 30 minutes to get downtown. As an alternative route, US-29 seems a bit more sane although it might take more time. Restaurants, shopping and fuel are just minutes away.
Other than on a race weekend, the park is very quiet. The sites are long if you need it, they’ll give you two sites for the price of one usually and it’s got a lot of stuff around it. If you need it, we will be back in Charlotte in about 30 days and will be staying there again. It is definitely one of our regular stops when we’re in the area.
Love the drags, but how can you justify charging 200. to camp in a dry, dusty, unmoved field. Then for the whole campground there was 6 porta johns. Your bout to outprice NASCAR, that's why we started going to the drags, we could afford NASCAR. please don't have us quit the drags also.
Very confusing. I reserved a pull thru site, they assigned me G6. Because of the one way roads, you can’t get there unless you can make a 135 degree turn or you back in. This defeats the purpose of the pull thru site. So after 15 minutes of driving around, I figure I have to go the wrong way on the roads, I pull into H6 thinking that was going to lead to G6 but it lead to G2. Are you confused as I am? So I do my 4 round around the campground and find G6 thru H14. This is the craziest campground. Good water pressure, easy hookups. The office closes kind of early, so to avoid all the confusion, arrive before they close the office.
