As a privately owned and operated campground with a focus on an intimate and tailored experience, Catawba River Campground may not publicly advertise large-scale commercial promotions in the same manner as a corporate chain. However, based on the customer reviews and the nature of such a business, potential "promotions" or special considerations might arise through direct contact and the owner's discretion.
While no specific discounts or offers are listed in the provided information, potential avenues for value or special arrangements could include:
- Group Rates: Given its suitability for "family and group gatherings," it's plausible that the owner might offer special rates for larger group bookings, especially for multiple campsites.
- Repeat Customer Recognition: A "wonderful owner" who invests heavily in the property might show appreciation for returning customers through preferential booking or small considerations, though this would be informal.
- Off-Season Pricing: During less popular camping periods, there might be slight variations in pricing or increased availability, encouraging visits outside of peak demand.
- Bundle Deals (e.g., camping + tubing): Given the emphasis on tubing and day use, it's possible there could be future packages that combine camping with tubing rentals or shuttle services for added value, though this is speculative.

Customer Reviews
Day use and tubing only prices make this a great place for a fun float down the Catawba or to relax and cast a line. Reservation only, means an intimate place for family and group gatherings. Pet and kid friendly! Great place for tent and hammock camping, with plenty of beautiful area to explore during the day, with Marion's stores and restaurants just a short drive away. 👍
This place is just amazing and the owner is wonderful! She's done a lot of work to it and it really shows! An awesome place for friends and family, and I always love getting to camp by the river!
Absolutely the most relaxing and Beautiful Place on the river! Make sure u shake hands with the Land Lady herself The Beautiful Miss Porsha, she may even fix ya some lunch!!
My family and I went there on July 10,2015 and loved it. Very clean, nice, quiet. We did some fishing and caught a few little ones; maybe next time we'll catch the big one. Owner is very nice and helpful. Enjoyed it very much there.
We had a great experience camping right on the Catawba river. Porsha is an incredible host and would stop by frequently to visit with us and see how we were doing. She has a really beautiful piece of property and does everything she can to ensure her guests are comfortable and happy. One evening she even ordered us dinner and loaned us some money to pay since we had just come off the water with no money. She guarantees great spacing between campsites and shares her entire piece of property with you. This is a perfect place if you don't mind the camping being slightly primitive without water, sinks, showers, etc...I rated a 4 because there is some industrial and road noise at the campsite that keeps you from being 100% lost in the woods. Also, on the day we rented Kayaks we were to get a 10 a.m. start but the boats arrived late at 12:30 so we got a late start. Not a big deal but we would have preferred to have left earlier. Overall, this is a great spot and would definitely return again. Thanks Porsha. You are awesome!
