They still have more work, but they are looking and doing great. Road to: Good. Road inside: Gravel and in good condition. Trees: All well trimmed. Check in: Medium size office short distance from entrance. Everyone was friendly. Parking: Medium size parking area. Seasonal campers: Yes, but everyone has a nice place. Signage: good Site 65: Gravel pad, but level. Had table and fire pit. Very private. View: Big view of the open meadow, and the grounds are nice. Site spacing: Good Bathhouse: Did not use. Laundry room: Small but nice. Swimming pool: None, but they do allow swimming in the river. Club house: no. Fitness area: no. Grounds: Good. TV: None. Wifi: Did not use. So here is the bad: None. Several sites have been destroyed from the hurricane right along the river. They are doing a great job bring the campground back to it beauty. Travel Far, Dream Big, Live Well...
Very relaxing space and the staff was friendly and willing to help. Some water side sites took a little beating from the floods but they are actively repairing the banks and getting it back to normal. Bath houses were clean and there is a laundry room on site. Will definitely come stay again soon.
We just left Buck Creek Campground this morning, we were very impressed on the cleanliness and laid back atmosphere. Camping there was very pleasant, quiet, and very peaceful. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our site was a back in directly on the creek, #35. We were having trouble with our cable connection but it was a user issue and not a site problem, they went over and above and our problem was resolved. We are already working on another trip. I would highly recommend this campground.
This RV park is so much more than just a campground - they make you feel like THIS is where you belong. It is such a beautiful, quiet, serene area! Spots are available to rent ranging from 1 night, one month, or the entire season. The location is perfect for any activity you plan to do - stay and float on the creek or drive 30 min to Asheville, or Drive right up the road and visit the falls.
