As a county-run facility, Clay County Park Campground typically operates on a standardized fee schedule rather than offering frequent, publicly advertised promotions in the retail sense. However, the fee structure itself and the value provided for the price can be seen as a consistent "offer" to local residents.
Based on available public data, the pricing is structured to accommodate various types of camping and durations of stay, which provides flexibility for different budgets:
- Competitive Nightly Rates: Nightly rates are generally affordable, with specific prices for different power services (e.g., $20/night for 30 Amp, $25/night for 50 Amp) and full hookups ($35/night for pipeline/sewer). Tent camping is even more budget-friendly at $10/night.
- Flexible Monthly Options: For those looking for extended stays, the campground offers competitive monthly rates. These vary depending on power (30 Amp or 50 Amp) and whether the RV is continuously plugged in or unplugged for portions of the month. For example, monthly unlimited RV camping with electric and water is $375/month, while pipeline/sewer hook-up can be $310-$330/month for 8 nights of electric. This caters to long-term visitors or seasonal campers.
- Affordable Dump Station Access: For those not staying at a full hookup site, a black tank dump service is available for $25 per dump, providing an essential service at a reasonable cost.
While explicit "sales" or "discounts" are not typically listed, the inherent value of clean, well-maintained facilities, direct lake access, and a range of amenities at county-controlled prices can be considered a consistent benefit for local North Carolinians. For the most precise and up-to-date fee schedules and availability, it is best to contact the campground directly or check their official county website.

Great environment and a great place to relax on the lake
I love this county run campground facility. It's always clean and tidy. The playground equipment looks safe and up to date. There are multiple walking trails, boat ramps and pavilions. There's free open wifi. The restrooms are always well kept.
Such a lovely picnic/campground. Well maintained. There's a nice beach with a white sand sunbathing area, and a child's play area. The picnic tables are in good shape and well shaded.
Great area sitting right next to the beautiful Lake Chatuge. All campsites are laid out perfectly and as far as I could tell, all equipped with picnic table, fire ring, and power. Water is readily available throughout the park. Showers are also available in the comfort stations. Good, nicely paved walkways throughout with decent playground setups for the young ones. Highly recommended.
What a beautiful part of the lake. So many of the RV parking pads have a great view of the lake. Can't wait to see it when the lake level is back up in the Spring.
