Dome@Meadows is perfectly suited for locals because it embodies the authentic, beautiful, and slightly off-the-beaten-path Vermont experience without sacrificing convenience or modern comfort. For those who already live in the state, the value of a 'micro-adventure' that feels completely remote yet is only a short drive from home and essential services is immense. This campground provides a deeply therapeutic escape—the peaceful sounds of the White River, the incredible views of the rolling hills, and the stunning nightly display of stars offer a genuine reset button from daily life.
The small, well-managed nature of the property ensures a more private and personalized experience than a large state park or commercial campground. It’s an ideal setting for families to create lasting memories or for couples to enjoy a romantic, star-filled retreat. For Vermonters, Dome@Meadows is not just a place to pitch a tent; it’s a nearby, high-quality sanctuary where the best of Vermont’s natural beauty and hospitality converge.
This was a memorable experience for us as a family. It was a very nice campground and well-equipped with basic needs such as an outdoor shower with hot water and a portable restroom. The ambiance was so serene, especially being next to the white river; the sound of the water at night really was soothing. The host was very communicative with all information, suggestions, and anticipated issues, and got them fixed. I love that the dining have a canopy. All the solar lights at night around the whole camp created a very cozy atmosphere with the campfire and beach chairs were provided as well. Though it's close to one of the main roads it did not bother me at all as it also helps as everything is accessible but I think it depends on the day as i noticed that Friday night was much busier traffic wise but Saturday night was quiet. The general store is just around the corner so if you forgot to bring something it's very helpful to have it around. We stayed at Camp B and we were very happy.
Aug 11, 2025 · Ophelia NiegasWonderful place to see the stars! Close to hiking trails and very easy to find - plenty of firewood on-site and somehow made it home without a single mosquito bite (maybe because the site is in the valley). Gorgeous views with the sunset glow hitting the hills. Lovely wildflowers and a meandering stream! Fast responses from host and they accommodated an early check-in when we finished hiking sooner than expected!
Sep 01, 2025 · Tamara SkaleckiWe had a lovely experience! We rented both sites, there were games put out, the grass was mowed, and the owners left goodie bags for our girls. It was peaceful and an enjoyable experience. They had a clean portable toilet, a hot water outdoor shower and campwood for sale for a fire. They are amazing hosts and checked in on us.
Sep 11, 2025 · Renee HintonThe place was amazing and the host is great. Beautiful place - even more than the pictures and the host was very accommodating. Exceeded expectations in every aspect. We are definitely planning on coming back to spend more time there!
Jul 03, 2025 · Ivaylo NedyalkovThis is a beautiful spot by the river. The owner has thought of everything, including a fire pit, grill, picnic tables, and even outdoor hot showers. They also offer rentals for camping chairs and river tube floats. The campsites are well-set-up, and the hayfield creates a sense of privacy between them, making it a family- and pet-friendly location. Overall, it's a fantastic place to camp! I’ll definitely be coming back!
