Elgin RV Park - Colinas is designed to be a serene and well-maintained RV park, emphasizing a quiet, country living experience. Situated amidst trees and natural vegetation, it offers a peaceful alternative to more bustling RV resorts. The park prides itself on providing spacious, extra-large RV sites with full hookups, catering to a variety of RV sizes and types. While it may not feature extensive resort-style amenities, its core appeal lies in its calm atmosphere, reliable essential services, and a responsive management team. It's a place where you can unwind under the Texas sky, with the convenience of being close to local towns and major cities.
Elgin RV Park - Colinas is located at 446 Las Lomas Drive, Elgin, TX 78621, USA. This address places it in a tucked-away, quiet area, often described as being in the "back of a residential neighborhood," which contributes to its peaceful ambiance. Despite its secluded feel, the park boasts excellent accessibility. It's just a few minutes' drive to essential amenities like H-E-B and Walmart, ensuring residents have easy access to groceries and supplies.
Furthermore, Elgin itself is strategically located, approximately 24 miles northeast of Austin and just 3 miles from historic downtown Elgin. This proximity allows residents to easily explore Elgin's famous barbecue restaurants, fine dining, and boutique shopping, while also being within a convenient driving distance to the vibrant cultural scene, employment opportunities, and attractions of Austin. Major highways, including Highway 290, are easily accessible, facilitating commutes to nearby cities like Taylor (home to the Samsung plant) and Round Rock, making it an ideal location for those working in the greater Central Texas area. The ease of entry and exit, even for large fifth wheels, is noted by residents.
Full Hookup RV Sites: The park provides full hookups at each site, including 30 and 50 amp electric service, water connections, and sewer hookups, ensuring a hassle-free stay.

Spacious, Shaded Sites: Many sites are extra-large and offer natural shade from numerous trees, enhancing comfort during warm Texas seasons and providing a sense of privacy.

Pet-Friendly: The park welcomes up to two pets per site, with designated dog walking areas, making it suitable for those traveling with their furry companions (leash rules and cleanup apply).
While the park excels in tranquility and essential services, some visitors have noted the absence of typical resort amenities like a pool, community center, or extensive hiking trails. Some newer sites had issues with soft ground and sewer odors, suggesting ongoing improvements. The pricing at $50 a night has also been a point of contention for some, who feel it's high given the limited recreational amenities compared to state parks. However, for long-term residents, the quiet environment, strong Wi-Fi, and responsive management are often seen as significant advantages that outweigh these points.
Elgin RV Park - Colinas primarily caters to both short-term and long-term stays, with its pricing structure reflecting this. While specific "promotions" like percentage discounts are not widely advertised, the park focuses on providing competitive daily, weekly, and monthly rates.
As of available information, the park offers a monthly rate of approximately $550, which often includes full hookups, cable, and Wi-Fi. This monthly rate provides significant savings for extended stays, making it an attractive option for full-time RVers or those needing a longer-term base in the Austin-Elgin area. Daily rates are listed around $50.
It is always advisable for prospective guests to contact the park directly to confirm the most current rates, discuss any available long-term stay options, and inquire about any specific specials or packages that might be available at the time of booking. Given the dynamic nature of RV park pricing and potential changes under new ownership, direct communication ensures the most accurate information.

For Texans, Elgin RV Park - Colinas offers a distinct appeal, particularly for those who prioritize peace and practicality over resort-style luxuries. If you're a local RVer looking for a quiet home base that's conveniently located near both the charm of Elgin and the vibrant opportunities of Austin, this park warrants strong consideration.
The "quiet, neat, and clean" environment, coupled with the "strong" Wi-Fi and "responsive" management, creates a reliable and comfortable living situation, whether for a temporary work assignment or a long-term residency. While some may find the daily rates a bit high for a park without extensive recreational amenities like pools or elaborate dog parks, the value proposition for longer stays, especially with the included utilities and excellent connectivity, becomes much more compelling. For those who appreciate an open, natural feel over concrete pads, and whose RV life revolves more around a peaceful setting and direct access to their RV's comforts rather than communal activities, Elgin RV Park - Colinas is an ideal fit. It provides a straightforward, friendly, and accessible option for Texans to enjoy the RV lifestyle in a strategic Central Texas location.
Customer Reviews
The park itself is very quite neat and clean. However, other than a place to park your camper it doesn’t offer anything else. There are no hiking trails what they call a dog park is just an open field so no that’s not a dog park. There’s no pool no community center. No trash pick up. The dumpster is a good 2 miles from all of the campsites, or at least it felt that way walking it in triple digit heat. at 50 bucks a night we feel this is a bit high for what is basically less than a Texas state park which go for 25 a night. They come with hiking trails, playgrounds things to do.. It’s not a bad place to camp and 25 bucks a night. I would consider coming back but not at 50 bucks a night. That’s just too expensive for what they offer. A real negative is the way that they laid out a couple of the new RV sites one of which we were assigned to. The sewer opening for the site next to us was positioned right outside our front door of our camper so we couldn’t sit under our awning even and enjoy the outdoors because of the sewer odor from next door. Poor planning there. Absence of picnic tables and fire ring was also noted as a negative. The new owners need to visit some other parks and see what they offer for $50 a night. Oh! And the map they sent depicts a lake - oversized mud puddle is what it is in reality. So nah…not the best choice. Also our space was supposed to be a pull thru. Due to it being new the ground was not firm enough to pull through with out the possibility of getting stuck so we had to back out. Unfortunately a tree got in the way and so now we get to put our camper in for repairs. Now that’s on us but at the same time if the space had been functional as a pull through as advertised we’d have missed the tree.
This place is quiet, tucked away in the back of a residential neighborhood, but only a few minutes to H-E-B and Walmart. I'm here for my job, will be here for the rest of the year, so far I'm really enjoying it. The management is very responsive when we've had questions. The park itself is dirt / gravel roads and pads, didn't have any problem leveling our 5th wheel and we enjoy the more open feel of this park as it's not like the places down the street which are just concrete parking lots. The wifi is strong. Easy in and out.
Great place for me as I work nearby. Their monthly rate is very reasonable and I get more space here than the other places, although this park is more unconventional, in that it's not the normal perfectly spaced spots all made of concrete and asphalt. This is more open and relaxed and gravel and dirt, but all bills are included and they have good WiFi and laundry.
I Used to leave here. I worked with Bonnie helping here remove some scrap metal and cleaned her yard up. Living here Was Amazing. Just Bonnie kept increasing my rent saying it was a premium lot. When the lot was not. In creasing by 100$ everything. Not ok. Living here is very peaceful. Just not the one managing.
What a great place to stay. We feel we had the best shady spot However a majority of the park is in the shade. And in the south that’s really a good thing. Park is really well maintained. I felt like I had never had fresh air until I got here. I felt welcomed and secure. Management was always available and takes care of everyone’s needs. Will definitely reschedule next year
