Location and Accessibility

Elk River Floats & Trestle Park is conveniently located at 435 Elk Springs Rd, Noel, MO 64854, USA. This address places the campground directly on the banks of the Elk River in Ginger Blue, Missouri, situated between the towns of Noel and Pineville. This prime riverfront location is a significant draw, providing immediate access to water activities.

The park's setting along the Elk River means guests are immersed in the natural beauty of Southwest Missouri, with crystal-clear waters and surrounding landscapes that have carved "massive bluffs and karst features." While enjoying a natural, somewhat secluded environment, the campground remains accessible. Noel is a smaller town in McDonald County, but its regional significance as a floating destination means it's generally navigable for various vehicles, including those towing campers or RVs.

For those traveling from further afield within Missouri or from neighboring states like Arkansas or Oklahoma, access typically involves state highways that connect to these more rural areas. While the immediate roads leading directly to the campground might be local, general access to the Noel area is well-established for outdoor tourism. The campground is also one of several locations operated by Elk River Floats & Resort of the Ozarks, which includes other campgrounds like Wayside, Kozy Kamp, and Eagles Nest, suggesting a coordinated system for managing river activities and guest services across these sites.

The location offers excellent opportunities for exploring the immediate area, including the town of Noel, which may have limited local services like small shops or gas stations. However, the primary allure of this location is the river itself. Being directly on the Elk River means no long commutes for float trips – you're right where the action is. This direct river access, combined with the natural beauty of the Ozarks, makes Elk River Floats & Trestle Park a highly accessible and desirable destination for those looking to experience the best of Missouri's outdoor adventures.

Never camped somewhere the staff stopped by camp every 2 -3 hours after check in. Reservations were messed up. Customer service was terrible. Bathrooms are TERRIBLE. We had a group of almost 30 people.

Campground with warm showers and electric. The water is clear and a blast to float on. The grounds are rocky for a warning. Bent a few tent stakes, no biggie but buy water shoes if you don't own any. Flip flops won't cut it! Love that it's a family business. They were all friendly.

Clean campgrounds, staff was very friendly and very helpful. A lot of campers had an issue with a group of campers staying up all night and blaring awful music. The security guard on duty gave us his cell phone and said if we had another problem to call him and he would have them removed. It was nice to know someone was there on watch most of the night.

Good river to float on, high water and wide river! Our cabin was a little disappointing. Stayed in one of the ginger blue cabins, tub was stained brown and water dripped all night. There were holes in the kitchen floor and one in the wall behind the door. Had a stove but was told they don’t use gas on the campgrounds so it didn’t work. I would come back to the river and maybe try a different resort.

Our group of 5 went floating down the river yesterday. The staff was very friendly and informative. I will 100% be coming back. Plus the river has turtles.
