This is a great camping spot close to Dallas. There seems to be a constant breeze here. In the summer time the heat can be close to unbearable. There are lots of hicking trails marked and unmarked. If you go off trail beware of the poison ivy. It's everywhere!!!
Jul 14, 2023 · JohnGreat history and grounds. A few walking paths to explore the area. The historical buildings are always fun to walk through and explore as well. There are nice camping sites to rent, although I have never stayed overnight in the park. There are several events throughout the year at the park that are always fun to attend.
