This is a significant ongoing benefit for qualifying individuals.

Customer Reviews
A hidden gem of a campground! My husband and I stayed there for a few days enjoying the fact that it hugs Barkley Lake in Kentucky. There are some spots that are directly on the water, but we choose a spot a bit further back (21) that had more room for us and our two dogs. We still could walk a few feet to see the lake better through the trees. There is a small beach area, boat ramp, dumping station too. We drove around the corner one evening to see an amazing sunset right off the water. Patti’s restaurant, Dollar General’s, and Elk and Bison prairie, are a fun place to travel in the area. The hosts are amazingly helpful and friendly! They will come by a couple of times a day to check on things and see if anything is needed. Some of the spots are a bit difficult to back into due if you have a larger camper, mostly from the angles and trees. People just took their time backing up and was cautious. The spots are blacktop and gravel with a fire pit, very large heavy duty picnic table, along with a smaller table for cooking. Extremely clean area and well taken care of! We plan on coming back in the Spring to enjoy this beauty again!
We just left Eureka campground. Wonderful views, great hosts! Our site didn’t have a sewer bur they have a dump station. We paid $60 for two nights at site 14 right on Lake Barkley. 50 amp, water. Would definitely go back.
This is a great place. When we checked in the lady looked at our rig and said I can put you in a pull thru so you don't have to unhook your trailer. We got site 11. It was level and had the view of the lake. Hot showers and laundry and they have a boat launch. Quiet and peaceful and a deer came to visit after we set up. Highly recommend. If you have the senior pass it is a huge discount.
Corps of Engineers(COE) budget cuts have negatively affected grounds maintenance at COE campgrounds. Hosts are now volunteers - which is only a bad thing if they were hosting only for money. We just stayed 3 nights on site 15. #15 is one of the best sites - in our opinion. A few negatives though. #15 is a pull-thru with the option to back in - because its a huge site. But if you back in you need about 75 - 80 ft. of cord and water hoses to reach the end of your camper. We utilized the pull-thru - but because there wasn't enough gravel laid down - after a 2 hr. rain a muddy mess was made a few feet from our steps. A huge pile of gravel was about 200 ft. down the camp road but maintenance hadn't used it to prevent rain from creating mud holes. Also - maintenance hadn't cleaned up all the driftwood from flooding in the past month. The dump station was a little troublesome to navigate. To dump - you have to exit the campground at the guard-shack(host station) - re-enter the grounds to get to the dump station - head back into the grounds (no U-turn for large campers) and either drive thru grounds again or turn around in the parking area to the right of the gate near site #1. All-in-all it's not a bad campground. It's small enough to be quaint and everyone was super friendly. Our favorite thing was to go to Patti's 1800 Settlement and have dinner one night. The views of the lake were gorgeous - especially at sunset. The bath-house was very clean as well.
Update July 2021 - blessed to stay here in #4. All sun site, at an angle so the bigger you are the harder it is to back into this site, but best unobstructed lake views. This campground opened April 30th. The campsites are mostly shaded and overlooking the water. Few are all sun. Picnic tables, shelter house, fire pits, water and electric only. Bath house, restrooms, playground, designated swimming area roped off. COE campground. Boat launch, parking lot all paved. Beautiful area.
