These communities offer a unique blend of independent living, shared amenities, and a strong sense of camaraderie among like-minded individuals. Featherock, located in the charming area of Valrico, Florida, presents itself as one such community, designed to cater to the specific needs and desires of active adults seeking a fulfilling retirement lifestyle in the Sunshine State.
Manufactured home communities, like Featherock, have evolved significantly, offering well-maintained properties and a range of facilities that enhance daily living. While recent resident feedback points to some challenges regarding management's responsiveness to maintenance and rent increases, the core appeal of Featherock lies in its established 55+ demographic and its location within the desirable Tampa Bay area. This article will provide a comprehensive overview of Featherock, detailing its location, the services it aims to offer, its key features, and why it remains a relevant option for Floridians considering a move to a senior mobile home park.
Featherock is ideally situated at 2200 State Rd 60, Valrico, FL 33594, USA. This prime location places the 55+ community in Valrico, a rapidly growing and desirable suburb within Florida's greater Tampa Bay area. Valrico is known for its suburban charm, excellent schools (though less relevant for a 55+ community, it speaks to the quality of the surrounding area), and a wide array of local amenities that cater to various needs and interests. The park's position on State Road 60 provides residents with convenient and direct access to major thoroughfares, enhancing both local and regional accessibility.
The accessibility of Featherock is a significant advantage for its residents. Essential services, such as hospitals, medical specialists, and grocery stores, are also readily available within the immediate vicinity, making daily errands and healthcare access exceptionally convenient.
Furthermore, Featherock's proximity to the heart of the Tampa Bay area opens up a world of possibilities for recreation and leisure. Downtown Tampa, with its cultural attractions, professional sports venues, and vibrant waterfront, is easily reachable. The beautiful Gulf Coast beaches are also within a reasonable driving distance for those seeking sun and sand. Customer Reviews
The management company for this 55+ community has total disregard for the residents of this community. The only thing they are interested in doing is raising the lot rent. All the damage after the hurricane will be addressed never!! Safety and comfort of the community is a non-issue.
My Mother lives there. She's not a real social person so she stays inside mostly. I would use the pool and stuff 😁
I recently bought a home there. I haven't been able to spend a lot of time yet, but everyone is nice.
Put new sod in yard within 1 yr the cats have pissed in it and basically ruined it.. Plus the lot rent goes up every year..
Park management needs better maintenance department as well as new maintenance employees. The 2 we currently have are lacking skills. 1 is a bully and the other one hides in his golf cart all day and does nothing. This is not to mention absorbent monthly lot rental for very few amenities. Maybe time for a change?
