Customer Reviews
We stayed at this RV park from June to November last year, and it has been our favorite park to date. We've stayed at numerous parks since, but none have compared to this one. The showers were always clean and warm, and the area is absolutely beautiful. It was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. They even did fireworks and cookouts for the Fourth of July while we were there, which was a fantastic experience. We had a huge yard, and the laundry facilities were nice and well-maintained. The management was the nicest we've ever experienced—Sam was so sweet and accommodating. We needed to stay longer, and they allowed us to move spots for the final week before we went traveling, which was incredibly helpful. The prices are very reasonable, and the park is close to Tampa but not too close, offering a perfect balance. My whole family loved it, even the dog! And the baby gator outside was always so fun to see! Overall, this is my favorite park to date, and we will definitely be going back when we visit family! Highly recommend!
Met with Pam today in regards to securing a 2 month rental to park our 2025 RV while our home is being built. Did a drive through prior to meeting in the office. Mixed lots with permanent residences and short term. Some unit areas are well kept, others are quite questionable. Pam informed her employee does a background check. When disclosing an arrest (not conviction) from 25 years ago, Pam informed it will be an automatic denial. We are two middle aged, upper middle class working professionals that also own a small business and volunteer throughout the community as a street team ministry feeding the homeless. This is by no means a Ritz Carlton and appears to be a lower class campground (no resort amenities). Clearly, the harsh reviews are accurate and we witnessed first hand how judgemental the senior citizen office manager is. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development guidelines it is an act of discrimination and not permissible by the Fair Housing Act and is a violation of the Fair Housing Act. I immediately informed Ms. Walter of this law while I was in the parking lot. Her defense response was the lot was just rented, in a matter of 5 minutes. I highly recommend this location abides by the laws and regulations set forth. I fully intend to file a complaint with the appropriate agencies to bring light on this matter. It is unacceptable, unethical and down right illegal. For anyone else whom experienced this type of situation, there are legal recourses available. IT'S ABOUT THE PRINCIPLE!!! We were not discouraged and blessed to have found another location that exceeds what little Citrus Hills has to offer. I highly recommend this place is not suitable for anyone that values their integrity and dignity. The following public information is provided by myself, independent advocate for all. This is a great family run RV park that they take pride in! It's pet friendly, has big sites and people are friendly. There's not a whole lot of activities compared to other parks and no pool, but the monthly rates are low. We love it as we have been at much higher priced parks that had tons of services that we didn't use. If you're the same as us....this may be the the park for you. It's in a great location just 5 minutes east of Brandon FL....so it's close to Brandon, Plant City and Tampa. Where you drive into the park, this is the oldest part of the park. This part has some run down looking rvs....mostly permanent residents in this section. There are so many trees all over the old section that it can look dirty from all the leaves that fall and the grass hardly grows up there. But don't let this scare you. As you continue on it the park it's really nice. However, if you're looking for "posh" with all beautifully manicured lawns. ....this isn't the place for you.
Almost a 3, but not quite. Perhaps if the picnic table was useable instead of a factory for splinters… alas, that was not the real issue. Let’s start with the site (135): sewer connection above grade enough to interfere with draining, water pressure low but manageable, souvenir bag of dog poop left on picnic table. Facilities: laundry adequate with old top load machines. $1.75 each; bathrooms in dire need of remodel and repair. Furthermore, it wasn’t kept clean except for Sunday night (we left Monday). Ran out of hand towels, plugged toilet, shavings all over sink. Overall: Surcharge for electricity. LOTS of units abandoned or just wasting away. Junk everywhere on most sites. Lots of cats roaming freely everywhere. Some folks trying to make their spots nice. Most don’t care. Probably 80% full-time residents. Folks at check-in very nice and courteous. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend unless you don’t mind the “trailer trash”. Seems most people there have little regard for courtesy rules.
We have lived here full time for 8 months now and will probably be here till Jesus comes back!! We love it!! The rates are far better than anywhere else and it includes water, you just pay your electric. They take great care of the lawns. It’s so nice to know the staff are taking care of our mail and deliveries. Pam and Peggy are wonderful!! We had to transfer here from Utah and Pam was great to work with from Utah and we drove right in to our lot when we got here. We are grateful to have found our permanent home here at Citrus Hill😊😊
