This isn't your average campground; it's a specialized glamping experience designed to provide a quiet and relaxing getaway, blending the comforts of home with the allure of the wilderness.
As Tennesseans, we often seek out diverse ways to enjoy our state's incredible landscapes, and glamping offers a compelling alternative for those who desire more amenities than a tent can provide. GLAMP Smoky Mountains aims to deliver a comfortable and well-equipped stay within its unique dome structures. Imagine settling into a beautifully decorated space with comfortable beds, ample pillows, and the thoughtful inclusion of heating blankets for cooler nights. The domes are designed to offer good isolation, ensuring a quiet and peaceful environment where relaxation is truly possible, even if the overall view isn't panoramic.
What makes GLAMP Smoky Mountains particularly appealing to locals is the opportunity for a distinctive and comfortable escape without venturing too far from home. The well-equipped kitchen within each dome, boasting "almost everything one would need," provides significant convenience for preparing meals, allowing for a self-sufficient and cozy experience. While some past visitors have noted areas where "attention to detail was not made" with certain fixtures or outdoor furniture, the core elements of comfort – like the beds and indoor climate control – are generally well-received. For those seeking a unique, quiet, and well-appointed glamping experience in the beautiful Cosby area of the Smoky Mountains, GLAMP Smoky Mountains offers a chance to try something different right here in Tennessee.
GLAMP Smoky Mountains is situated at 1053 Rocky Flats Rd, Cosby, TN 37722, USA. This location places it within the picturesque and often quieter side of the Great Smoky Mountains, offering a more serene environment compared to the bustling tourist hubs like Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. For Tennessee locals, this means a manageable drive to a tranquil mountain setting that still provides access to the region's natural beauty.
Cosby, TN, is known for its direct access to less-trafficked trails within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, making it an excellent base for hiking and outdoor exploration. While the reviews mention that the "location-wise was not as I expected" in terms of overall view, the primary draw of a glamping dome is often the unique accommodation itself and the peaceful immersion in nature it provides, rather than sweeping panoramic vistas from every angle of the site. The property on Rocky Flats Road suggests a setting that's tucked away, contributing to the "good isolation for quiet and relaxation" that guests appreciate.
Accessibility to the site is generally straightforward, being within the Cosby area. For those traveling by car, the roads lead directly to the property, allowing for easy arrival. While specific details about proximity to local amenities aren't as highlighted as the seclusion, Cosby offers basic conveniences, and the larger attractions of the Smoky Mountains are still within reasonable driving distance for day trips if desired. The location is best suited for those prioritizing peace and a unique stay, rather than being in the absolute center of tourist activity, making it a fitting choice for locals seeking a calm mountain retreat.
Based on the provided customer reviews for GLAMP Smoky Mountains, there are no explicit "promotions" or "special offers" mentioned in the traditional sense (e.g., percentage discounts, seasonal deals). The reviews primarily focus on the inherent qualities of the glamping experience itself, including aspects of comfort, amenities, and service. One review highlights that while prices can range, value is perceived differently at higher price points.
Therefore, instead of listing hypothetical discounts, it's more accurate to discuss the *value proposition* and what might be considered "offers" in a qualitative sense, reflecting the unique nature of this glamping site:
It's important to note that one review did mention a significant issue with a last-minute cancellation due to frozen pipes and a lack of proactive communication or offers for alternative accommodations/discounts, as well as a delayed refund. This suggests that any "offers" or customer service regarding issues should be thoroughly clarified directly with the property or through the booking platform (e.g., Hipcamp, if applicable).
For the most current pricing, availability, and to inquire about any specific policies or potential long-stay rates (which might offer better value per night), it is always recommended to directly contact GLAMP Smoky Mountains using the provided phone numbers or check their listing on the booking platform they utilize.

Came here with the family (2 kids) - location-wise was not as I expected. Wishing there was a better view overall. Got to the dome and overall the dome was nice. While certain things were very well done, there were definitely things that showed that attention to detail was not made - which for 160 dollars isn't too bad but when nights can be as high as 350s - one would expect more. On the positive side, the decor was super cute. The beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows. They left out heating blankets which was helpful at night. There were multiple heaters and a couple of fans. The kitchen had almost everything one would need - so overall that was good. There was good isolation for quiet and relaxation. On the negative side, the floor boards had multiple pieces that were not cut correctly so the floor had holes in it. The shower was for someone who was 6 foot 5 or something - I am only 5 foot 3 and could not reach the shampoo, etc without reaching a lot. The kitchen sink was small which was difficult as the faucet was a little oversized for the sink and water would spill all over. The outside furniture was in horrible shape - one chair broke while my daughter sat in it. One other was so wobbly, it will likely break very soon. There were 2 adirondack chairs around the fire pit - one had both hand rests broken causing splinters. The other was not in great shape. While I wasn't too upset with the wifi since that was not the point of the trip - the wifi was horrible overall. We have been to domes before and while some aspects of this campsite were lovely - I cannot say we will return to this dome.
Apr 20, 2025 · Golru GhaffariStay booked for weekend of 2/21 - 2/23. We were notified an hour before check in that the pipes were frozen and the dome was not usable. I totally understand that pipes freezing are unavoidable but my issue is the late notification. We were already in route and an hour away when The rep called to cancel us. She admitted the pipes had been frozen all week. Imagine have a car packed full to go camping to celebrate a child’s birthday and when you get an hour away you are notified that you can’t come. Minty knew about this issue way in advance yet chose to notify us an hour before check in time. No Offer to help find other accommodations - no offer for a discounted alternate weekend - nothing. 5 days later and I still have not had my money refunded. Horrible customer service

Mar 31, 2025 · aubry coyleI can’t say enough good things about our stay at Glamp by Stay Minty. Sonia & team made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and went above and beyond with communication prior to and during our visit. Highly recommend the Moon Dance Dome!
Mar 14, 2025 · Stefanie CluxtonThis was an extraordinary stay!!! Only 13 miles from Gatlinburg. The dome was perfect, beautifully decorated and had everything you would need for camping and cooking. Fire pit and wood was very nice. We had a fire all day. The hot tub was very soothing, we used it both at night and during the day, large towels included. Electric blankets included for those chilly nights. It had snowed while we were there and 13 degrees but our dome was quite toasty. We will definitely be returning!! Great service and outstanding communication.
